The Marina Bay Sands Hotel is one of the most iconic sights of Singapore, which has a boat shaped infinity pool at the top of the hotel and an impressive shopping mall inside. The architecture in Singapore City can only be described as futuristic; from the Merlion statue, to the Marina Bay Sands and the Financial District. The Marina Bay... More

Takes place daily at 8.00pm and 9.30pm, lasts about 20 minutes. Beautiful lights and imagines shown on the water from many fountains, really stunning. Make sure you get a good place to watch it close to the Marina Bay Sands, it can get crowded!

It was beautiful. Very interesting. & it is free. You just get to this place, find a bench or a seat, settle down & get ready for the show. If you want an even better experience, i suggest the boat rides. The place was also windy & near the river so it was surely a pleasant experience.

We went to the 9:30pm show at the harbour front. The show was excellent. Using lights and water to create a fantastic 20 minute show over the harbour. We thought this was much better than the light show in Hong Kong. This is well worth a look especially as it's free!! It does get very crowded in the are though... More

A very pleasant way to spend some time just relaxing, looking at the city lights across the water and viewing a well put together light show. Then go for a short stroll & take a bum boat ride before having a meal along Clarke Quay.

After a night of shopping, the concierge of Marina Bay directed us to where the Wonder Full Light and Water Show would be. There were a lot of people there already, but we managed to get seats near the top step, with a grand view of the bay. We arrived for the first session of the night (8pm) and were... More

Be there at least half an hour prior to the show times. It's amazing that it is free. I am quite sure people would have been willing to pay for it if needed:) The show lasted 15-30 mins? Take a stroll at the mall and afterwards, take a rest while watching this simple and sentimental show.

we went by water taxi, as you can get off at Marina Bay Sands. Got there right as the show started - more lasers than we realized, and the water and fire rising up from the river was great - especially as it is all free. We just stood on the walkway beside the river - didn't need special seats.... More

Staying in Marina Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Marina Bay
More of a mini city than a neighborhood in the traditional sense, the iconic Marina Bay aims to dazzle and entertain visitors of all kinds. This is the Singapore found in glossy brochures, featuring a world-class hotel, casino, shops, restaurants, bars, and other attractions all geared towards pure entertainment. The SkyPark at Marina Bay Sands provides a stunning view of the city, a must-see photo opportunity for visitors and locals alike. The ArtScience Museum always has a top-quality exhibition, and Gardens by the Bay is a fascinating manifestation of the government’s vision of Singapore as a “city in a garden”. Enticing Marina Bay is well worth a visit.
