Take the Eden Project, UK, mix withe the Australian Outback, add a dash of Far North Queensland and mix with a slice of New Zealand and you have the Singapore equivalent. Interesting, but no WOW factor for us. Skywalk not operating due to thunderstorms. Pricey attraction, seniors card not acceptable.

You can get here by walking from Marina Bay, there Is a bridge from Marina Bay to here, but if you walk from Merlion it's gonna take awhile because it's pretty far. Big supertrees, free to get inside, but if you want to go up in The bridge (between supertrees), you have to pay, but it's worth it, because The... More

We were very impressed by the Gardens By the Bay. Spectacular indoor waterfall and we loved the walkway in the clouds. As we weren't travelling our kids on this trip we didn't visit the children's garden, but that sounded fantastic for families. It was great that the Gardens promoted a strong environmental message.

We visited in July 2015 and managed to make it to the Gardens by the Bay in time for the Super tree rhapsody show - Amazing!!!! the trees (which look like something out of Avatar) light up and there is a wicked music and light show - sorta outer space themed - pretty sure I heard the star wars music.... Beautiful gardens with free access. Fee (£14) to the 2 large greenhouses which was excellent value and soo cool in the heat of the day. Gift shop good value. Well worth a visit.

Well executed and great if you're into horticulture. Skywalk was a bit smaller than expected. Good views of the city skyline.

We visited here for the first time in April, and we'll definitely be back. Apart from some issues with signage - how to get to the various parts and what is the quickest path from the carpark - it was a pleasure taking our elderly guests here so they could have a break from the intense heat.

Well, some like it, some dont. I personally enjoy the Gardens By The Bay. Have a stroll through lush greenery combined with modern elements such as the Super Tree Cove, a giant metal construction that looks like huge trees. You can even go on an elevated platform/bridge and walk between the trees in 15m height or so (extra costs: 5... More

Well worth the visit for its inovativeness, variety, wackiness and just a great place to be. As usual Singapore does it to perfection. Great on the day and the night. At night there is a great light show.

Staying in Marina Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Marina Bay
More of a mini city than a neighborhood in the traditional sense, the iconic Marina Bay aims to dazzle and entertain visitors of all kinds. This is the Singapore found in glossy brochures, featuring a world-class hotel, casino, shops, restaurants, bars, and other attractions all geared towards pure entertainment. The SkyPark at Marina Bay Sands provides a stunning view of the city, a must-see photo opportunity for visitors and locals alike. The ArtScience Museum always has a top-quality exhibition, and Gardens by the Bay is a fascinating manifestation of the government’s vision of Singapore as a “city in a garden”. Enticing Marina Bay is well worth a visit.
