We bought the emerald class tickets and there was no regrets as it was a comfortable journey and we enjoyed the hassle-free perks such as the staff assisting us with clearing the immigration at Bintan while we waited and rested at the lounge. We would book the emerald class again :)

If traveling to Bintan Island I firmly suggest you go Emerald Class. Not only do you get off first which puts you at the head of the queue at immigration but you can also purchase your visa on arrival on board the ferry. And you have a nice lounge area to wait in and very comfortable upper deck seating. Definitely... More

I ride on ferries a lot to travel between Hong Kong and Macau or ZhuHai and although these boats are a bit smaller they were nicely maintained and efficiently run. Overall a pleasant ride to Bintan.

If you have spare cash, do try out the emerald class. It does give a number of privileges such as the use of a comfortable lounge (although it could be better with massage chairs and a bigger area). On board, we were also treated to a drink. Perhaps, some snacks could even better. Being in the emerald class also allowed... More

Very quick, very clean ferry service to the resort area. Reasonable price. Emerald class gets to sit upstairs in the ferry, gets off first (to queue in line for customs), and gets wi-fi. Not sure that it is worth it for such a short (1 hour) ferry ride.

We travelled by Emerald Class which was a bit more expensive but I think worth it. Gave access to private lounge, on and off ferry first, visas sorted on the boat so no waiting at each end and priority processing. Vey smooth ride.

Travelling in different ferries, i had traveled twice in economy class using brf by booking through their website. It is a bit expensive no doubts, but the ferry was maintained clean and there wasnt much to complain. It is a good mode of transportation and you get to see a portion of a cartoon movie and some Bintan resort related... More

From A to Z a very pleasant experience. we reserved the ferries on line, check-in at the airport on both sides was very convenient and easy, ferries are catamarans (thank god) since the sea was rather rough, but this catamaran literally flew over the waves, no problem whatsoever. clean, airconditioned, a nice experience, easy access from the city and the...
