Bintan Resort Ferries operates between Singapore and Bintan. We took both ways in August 2014. The check-in Singapore is like an airport check-in and also from Bintan --> Singapore it worked efficiently. The boat trip is only 55 minutes and economy class is comfortable enough for that. Everybody has a seat like in a big plane: two side rows and... More

We were not quite sure what to expect with the Ferry from Singapore to the Bintan resorts. In many ways, it resembled an airport check-in as opposed to getting a train or ferry. The terminal building in Singapore is modern and the Bintan equivalent is a little less luxurious, but functional. On the trip over to Bintan, we upgraded our... More

We took the last ferry at night (8pm) to Bintan and didn't enjoy it at all. The ferry was old and a little tired. We sat in Emerald Class and even though the sea was relatively flat, most of my group experienced some degree of motion sickness. We were all very happy when the ferry docked at Bintan. To add... It was my first time taking Bintan Resort Ferries. Well, I would said that I receive excellent service from their staff Sue and Nurin. Due to the timing that we are able to get the slot for us, I'm glad that Sue holds her promise to help me to keep a look out and assist me with all the changes.... More

We bought the emerald class tickets and there was no regrets as it was a comfortable journey and we enjoyed the hassle-free perks such as the staff assisting us with clearing the immigration at Bintan while we waited and rested at the lounge. We would book the emerald class again :)

If traveling to Bintan Island I firmly suggest you go Emerald Class. Not only do you get off first which puts you at the head of the queue at immigration but you can also purchase your visa on arrival on board the ferry. And you have a nice lounge area to wait in and very comfortable upper deck seating. Definitely... More

I ride on ferries a lot to travel between Hong Kong and Macau or ZhuHai and although these boats are a bit smaller they were nicely maintained and efficiently run. Overall a pleasant ride to Bintan.

If you have spare cash, do try out the emerald class. It does give a number of privileges such as the use of a comfortable lounge (although it could be better with massage chairs and a bigger area). On board, we were also treated to a drink. Perhaps, some snacks could even better. Being in the emerald class also allowed... More
