From A to Z a very pleasant experience. we reserved the ferries on line, check-in at the airport on both sides was very convenient and easy, ferries are catamarans (thank god) since the sea was rather rough, but this catamaran literally flew over the waves, no problem whatsoever. clean, airconditioned, a nice experience, easy access from the city and the... Like anything in lagoi, bintan, too expensive. These ferries ply the strait in less than 45 minutes, and yet charge a barbarity. Bintan has beautiful beaches. Avoid the crowded and overexpensive Bintan resorts: take a ferry to tanjung pinang and stay at one of the resorts on the east coast of Bintan

Nice and clean ferry terminal with a nice local dining cafe. Ferry ride wise, fast and efficient and quick custom clearance.

Get the Emerald class.....be treated like first class. With lounge waiting areas, comfortable seats on the ferry and priority boarding and disembarking....well worth it.

To make the most of this service (especially if you are unfamilar with Singapore/Bintan Island) upgrade to Emerald Class when booking. After checking in at its own dedicated counter, Emerald Class passengers have their own lounge to relax in both at Tanah Merah (Singapore) & at Bintan. Free tea, coffee & soft drinks too in the lounges & during the... More

The Ferries are fine - clean, not uncomfortable, efficient, but don't expect an "experience" - its just a very practical way to get there. Key tip: book ahead of time as it gets busy during peak seasons

A quick, convenient way of getting away for the weekend if in Singapore. The ferry is clean, comfortable and quite efficient. The 45 min journey leaves the hustle and bustle of Singapore behind and drops you at the calming, Indonesian paradise of Bintan.

The ferry itself is clean. The only thing is that you are confined to only the cabin which make to whole journey to/from Bintan a REAL boring journey. It would be nice if the ferry allow passenger to move the open area whereby one can enjoy the breeze and the sea-wind. The entire journey is approx 55mins.
