Travelling to Batam The easiest way to travel to Batam is with Batamfast Ferries from Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal Nongsapura, Batam. Only 35 min.. So if you are visiting friends, resorts or business on the eastern side of Batam, this is the way to travel. Ferries every 2nd hour and you have to be at Ticket Office 30 min before... More

No need to come too early to this terminal before departure time because there are only 2 restaurants available in here with some shops and ferry agencies. Unless you just spend your time using the wifi facility. Passport checking for arrival services should've improved better. Taxi service: long queue and it takes some time to wait for one. Use taxi... Is this really an attraction of itself!? Ultimately it is just a ferry terminal, but can be very difficult to get a taxi here if you arrive at night. THere are infrequent buses but they are usually crowded and awkward if you have luggage. As for the terminal itself, I've never had any problems and always found it to be... More

Coming out of the terminal, looking for a cab is a nightmare... Only limousine taxi service available.

I went to Batam thru this port. Nice place with shopping and restaurants. There's several boat companies and it may puzzle beginners. Recommend!

My first visit to Tanah Merah Ferry was just weeks ago on the 13 June 2014. I think the custom could done better at directing us even before we queue. I understand that Singaporeans us could go for the self clearance lane but as I am travelling with my wife and baby (no fingerprint), i had no choice but to... More

First visit to Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal. The outer looks old but the interior not! Could be due to a weekday, and limited ferries running from the terminal, it feels less crowded that Harborfront Ferry Terminal

The ferry terminal is efficient and moving through it is a breeze. They have a cafetaria and 7-eleven which means it is easy to get a quick meal or some personal necessities if you forgot to bring something. However, do not expect any fancy stuff.
