We attended the Thai 3 class. There were 8 in the class. Great cooking class-recipes and pencils so I could note all the little tips Samia gave us. We've come home and cooked 3 of the recipes - we'd have never got the red beef curry right if we hadn't been shown all the stages of cooking the paste properly... More

Highly recommend. Streets of Singapore class excellent introduction to local cuisine. Samia's knowledge of food and respect for 'pure' ingredients a bonus. Demonstration Class enjoyable as all levels of cooks can absorb without distractions or feeling intimidated. This type of class allows you to learn more especially working in the Industry. The presentation and quality of produce fabulous. Thank you.

I had signed up for the Singapore Classics class soon after I had booked my flight. With all the classes offered it was hard to decided which one to select! Samia is an excellent teacher and was very informative in regards to cuisine but also explained the reasons behind some different cooking techniques. In addition to the eight dishes that... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our cooking class and meal at Coriander Leaf. Samia was both entertaining and informative and the meals prepared were all great dishes to cook at home. I highly recommend this experience for those who love cooking!

What a delightful and delicious day. I took the Singapore Classics class with Chef Samia on my second day in Singapore, and it not only gave me lots of cooking tips, it served as a great introduction to the tastes of the city. The relaxed, entertaining style would appeal even to non-cooks. And the food was amazing! I highly recommend... More

Samia was a wonderful teacher, full of experience and providing lots of useful tips and tricks. I thoroughly enjoyed the Streets of Singapore class, something I had been wanting to do for some time. We were provided with all the recipes and were able to sample all the results. There was way too much food but we had a good... More

We were welcomed with a very nice coffee, offered a shawl to keep our shoulders warm as we watched Samia cook 8 delicious recipes, as the air conditioning is very efficient. Samia is happy to answer any questions and she explained everything very well and made the whole experience very entertaining. We all enjoyed eating the magnificent feast for our... More

A perfect end to a girlie 5 days in Singapore. We had shopped & toured and were soooo ready to sit, learn new recipes and eat an excellent lunch. Well done Samia, you have mastered the art of passing on your considerable knowledge to amateurs. Hilary

Staying in The Quays

Neighborhood Profile
The Quays
From Marina Bay, a walk along Singapore River will take you through the three Quays of the city, each offering a very different atmosphere. Boat Quay features historical sites and a buzzing riverfront vibe. Clarke Quay caters to the party crowd, while Robertson Quay appeals to the leisurely wanderer. Weekends at Robertson Quay and Martin Road also give a peek into the lives of expats in Singapore, as the riverfront teems with joggers, dog walkers, and those getting their caffeine fix over brunch or enjoying a burger and a beer. No matter what you’re up for, the three Quays have something to keep you happy, day or night.
