Lot of electronics stuff over here, spanning multiple floors. You will not find small stuffs here, all are branded and well displayed for demo. Some shops allow you to bargain. keep aside enough time to go through each shop before you take a final call.

Sim Lim Square is certainly not known to be the most honest and transparent shopping experience around, you only need to do some basic research to come across stories of dodgy operators. And these are founded, however, if you know what you're after (the exact model, specs etc), are prepared to haggle and are well informed (make sure you ask... More

This place has an infamous reputation even amongst locals. Scams occur frequently but authorities are starting to take action against errant retailers. There are some legit stalls that you can patronize but usually these are located on the higher floors and most tourists do not venture that high. Make sure to identify which stalls are reliable before making your way... More

My computer had to be repaired and I was recommended to go to Sim Lim Square to get it rep aired. The computer could not get repaired due to I had got Soda Water into computer by accident. // I needed a computer, and the Repair Shop on level 6, helped me and installed all what I needed very fast.... I am local and I have to say finding a decent shop is difficult. If you really must buy something go to the higher shops, and those with some rating. Let me relate 2 experiences I had from "popular" shops. Visited this shop, ComLab. Now to be fair I had fixed my computer there before, and thought it was a... More

First and foremost I'm an IT guy meaning I know most of the stuff here. I got some routers at a good price, however I also got ripped off a bad functioning tablet. My fault for not thoroughly check the device. In my defense, I'm too hungry to check :(. Lesson learned, never shop with empty stomach, and no matter... More

Hi, I have been shopping at Sim Lim Square for many many years. The shops that ripped people off are those at the first two levels where there are hardly any shoppers. The upper level shops from 3th to top level are full of locals. This is where you want to go. Ask around for the price, do your research... More

This place is full of cheaters !! If it is cheap, most probably its fake. Or else, the shops will charge you an arm and a leg for genuine products. Go only if you know your Kung Fu, because you will need that when they lock the doors when you refused to pay up.
