Definitely the Singapore place to go for technology and gadgets but be prepared to spend the time to look around, do the maths then haggle. But make sure you do your research.

It is probably worth the visit especially if you need something whilst in singapore. Was a good place to buy a portable wifi router to plug into wired lan in hotel to use wireless devices. Many sellers seem to play games with me as im a foreigner and I just walked off, ended up buying from the quiet but honest... More

We shopped at Hi-V Trading Pte Ltd in the ground floor. Here are the problems we had. 1) Lying about warranty being international: The guys told us that a $1200 camera comes with full local warranty. But upon trying to register in the Nikon website for warranty, we found out that it's a grey market product. The warranty will neither... More

Dont shop anything frm "Square United Cam" store in Sim Lim Square, dont trust salesman, will take all opportunity to rip you off ... completely misguided to pay 2wise of SGD200 for a camera. This is the bad patch of my entire Singapore trip.

Every country has the gadget mecca. This is Singapore's its got hardware, computer parts, rare parts, and some Audio stuff. Its not for the faint of heart as some scammers will pounce on your lack of knowledge of a particular product. If you are buying here make sure you know what you are buying, what comes in the box, if... More

Took a trip to sim lim. It was late in the evening and over half if the shops were all ready closed. Didn't have anything particular in mind to purchase but didn't come across any deals. Prices seemed similar to other shops and offers I've seen around Singapore. But don't come with the horror story's and potential bad after sales... More

We are very disappointed by those liers and swindlers in Sim Lim Square Singapore. This made us never come back to Singapore again. We were looking for mobile phone stores center, and were advised by a taxi driver to go to Sim Lim square. The average price of the item was 980 SGD. We succeeded to negotiate it at 800... More

This is an update of the action I took after being fleeced in this shop Square United, I paid an extra hundred dollars for an old model of Pentax camera which was not the camera I had originally wanted. The salesperson took advantage of my ignorance of this camera and hard sell it and also sold it to me at... More

I used to live in Singapore and stopped by this place all the time. I still stop by at least once during my visits to see friends. There's a huge variety of little shops with all kinds of electronics and parts. It seems to be going a bit downhill though. For US visitors, there aren't really any deals unless you... More
