We, a small group of 7 members from different parts of the world, Australia, India, The Netherlands, Philippines, South Korea, Thailand and Singapore, did cooking as Team Bonding with Ruxqana on 28 May 2014. We had such a wonderful time and truly enjoyed it. Cooking brings people together and gets people into action.

We thoroughly enjoyed Ruqxana's cooking class - arranged on my husbands 30th birthday. Even though the class were strangers at the beginning we were all getting along so well by the end of the class. It was a great cooking environment and we all loved tucking into our creations at the end. If only we were local we could have... More

I've attended 2 of Ruqxana's cooking classes that I have thoroughly enjoyed. I learnt to cook some local favourites. Ruqxana was very knowledgeable and shared some great cooking tips. She has a great sense of humour and a comforting way about her that put us all at ease with one another eventhough we were all strangers. There's an intimacy that... More

A most enjoyable experience. Genuine Asian food cooking class taken by an enthusiastic and very knowledgeable teacher. A small group so ideas and questions dealt with readily. This takes place in an outside kitchen attached to a private home. Highly recommended.

I have been living in Singapore for 6 months now and really love the local food, so was looking for a place to learn how to make some Peranakan dishes and I found Cookery Magic. It is quite an institution, being recommended by Lonely Planet and a bunch of websites, and I was a bit wary it may be all... More

Went for the Hainanese chicken rice class with a friend. Best chicken rice I have ever had and we made it. :) Ruqxana has many little secrets to share in her class. I loved the fact that it was in her home kitchen which made it feel like we were visiting a friend. Will definitely go again for another class.

Not sure I can add to previous comments, but just to say that this was a great way to spend a relaxed evening learning to cook a different style of cuisine! Lovely that its in a proper home. Good organisation and preparation. Felt like I was on Blue Peter (here's one I made earlier) as the prata dough needed time... More

Thoroughly enjoyed Ruqxana's cooking class. She obviously knows a lot about flavours of Asian cooking and especially the different herbs and spices used. Her English is excellent and she was good fun. Learnt a lot and had fun.

My wife and I were given vouchers for a cooking class and we were not certain of what to expect. It turned out to be a fun experience. We were very lucky in that we ended up having a private class with Roxanne - who is a down to earth Singaporean. We picked this specific class because of our interest... More
