We visited Boracay, Phillipines in October 2014. We paid for the transfer to Bat Caves however upon near arrival were informed the Bat Caves and Crystal Cave were both closed to the public. Very disappointing.

The trip is a dangerous one, as the tides could suddenly come up, and trap people inside. Plus being trapped means drowning also. And there were no bats to be found. My recommendation is to spend your money elsewhere.

I hate bats, so it is just my opinion. There are lots of those things out there. Go have fun, if you like.

Long ago, tourists (mostly American then) came to the caves and killed alot of bats. Some shot them when they were flying out of the cave to feed. It's all closed now.. and sometimes you can... More

I didnt see lots of bats but the cave itself is worth going to. It's scary at first but gets exciting the moment you enter the cave.

don't let the official tour guide badge fool you, this is a country specializing in knock-offs . The cave itself is pretty cool, but there is no easy, or safe way in or out. I have crocs on and it was extremely slippery and steep, one wrong slip and you would be a statistic. This place would benefit by some... More
