Been here on two different occasions now but still as good the second time round. The church has had a new roof since our first visit but it is done in a tasteful way as not to diminish the buildings historical significance. This church was one of the stops in a typical Bohol tour that travelers can easily arrange from the airport. The Baclayan Catholic Church was founded by two Jesuit priests in 1595. Entry to the church is free: modest dress is expected. Entry to the attached museum costs P25 each, while a visit to the toilet ('CR' in Filipino parlance) is P10 each. The altar and pulpit are magnificent.
