This place is very nice and has a lot of young girls who giggle about the butterflies. Beware as they have no manners in cutting in front of you when you try to take a photo. But the place is nice, the ice cream and souvenirs are over priced.

A visit with the butterflies was part of the places to visit in Bohol on your way to Chocolate hills. You rented a car for Php1800 or van for Php2300 depending on how many in your group. We used a travel agency named Seashine travel in Alona beach since the travel rates in our hotel is 2-3 times more, just... More

If I am not mistaken I paid 40 pesos for the entrance. It was a small place but surprisingly enjoyable and worth every centavo. Our guide was very lively. He told us that moths have a lifespan of 14 days and 21 days for butterflies. Each species of butterfly eats a particular plant. I always thought they just fly from... More

Nothing much to see but we enjoyed our visit in this butterfly conservatory. Our tour guide kept us entertained of his jokes. We end up giving him a tip. There are so many photo opportunities too. Suitable for all ages.

The park is small and is done in 10 minutes. The butterflies are nice. However this park is at best average and could have been more developed. The guide was a very funny young male which told a number of interesting stories, he made it from poor to average.

The place is very charming with its clean premises and sculptured gardens. The main attraction was the collection of butterflies, and it was exciting having so many butterflies fluttering around within reach. We did not get a guide, but friendly tourists happily offered us the chance to coerce the butterflies from their fingers onto ours - and it was not... More

We visited when it was raining, so not many butterflies were around. The gardens are okay, but the small displays of preserved butterflies need maintaining and cleaning if they are to come up to the same standards as some of those to be seen in Thailand. The snack and drinks shop clearly does not cater to western visitors as there... More

Thank you for posting your review of Habitat Bohol on tripadvisor. Yes when the weather is cool and wet, the butterflies are resting, and hard to see inside the enclosure and also in the garden, it's natural. And yes our dry stock displays are in need of more care because of the damp weather in Bilar, the displays are easily... More

The place is more commonly referred to by tour guides as the BUTTERFLY FARM / GARDEN because its main attraction is its extensive collection of butterflies, both alive and preserved. It has a smooth and well-planned layout which makes the tour pleasant and easy. The witty guide assigned to our small group of four made our walk-through not only entertaining... More
