Its the longest underground river in the world. The actual tour took about 30 minutes or so. I kinda got bored towards the end. Our boatman claims that the different creatures/structures/images were naturally formed and I would like to believe that. The smell that lingers during the tour is the bat's poop I supposed. Once is enough :)

The drive from Puerto Princesa is about an hour long and is very scenic with stops along the way at Ugong Rock and Elephant Rock where the Amazing Race was. The boat ride from Sabang was nice and an experience in itself. The actual Underground River tour was awesome inside the huge cave with towering ceilings and swallows and bats... More

We had a travel agent who arrange everything for us. The feeling was great after the tour. Our boatman was very entertaining.

Going to this place will take you almost half of your day. Its a bit tiring but I was pretty excited to see the place coz I hear a lot of great things about it. There's a long queue of tourists when we went there. I was disappointed as we were not allowed to swim while waiting. It was a... More

The trip to Sabang and the boat trip were nice, but the Underground River was not spectacular for people who have already visited other caves all over the world. Maybe the underground river is impressive because it 's a very long cave. But the formations were a bit disappointing for us ; there are for example no colours in the... More

It's a unique experience to be able to ride a boat into the underground river. It's very dark but we were given a flashlight and the guide gave instructions on where to shine the flashlight so he could point out the different formations in the cave. It was awesome! The guide spoke English well and was making jokes so it... More

We had a very good experience going to the Underground River. From our hotel (Daluyon) we walked to the wharf, took a motorised boat to the start of the UR and changed to a paddle boat to enter the UR. The smell of bats was very strong at the entrance of the cave but it disappeared after a while. I... More

Just like the title of the review. Would not go out of your way to take in this tourist trap. We made the trip down from El Nido to Sabang Beach, time wouldve been better spent in El Nido. Especially considering the 6hr van ride. If you need to get out and see this 'New 7 wonder of the world'!?!... More

We went through our hotel so from the pier to the underground river we had the boat to ourselves, which was very comfortable, we hired the audio guide but found it was not necessary do to the excellent commentary from the boat rower.

I loved the experience, but I didn't expect so many bats! It was alarming how many there were. I get claustrophobic under certain circumstances, but it didn't bother me unless I looked backwards into the complete blackness. Another thing that was cool was all the monkeys and monitor lizards at the park outside the cave. One monkey snagged my wife's... More
