Amazing! community guides (boatmen) are very knowledgeable from firefly, to mangroves, to constellation to plankton's. Be back for kayaking and fishing for their day time activity.

Did you know that fireflies only thrive at non polluted air/area? This just proves how clean and free from pollution Palawan is. It is best to go try Iwahig Firefly watching when there is no moon. The sky needs to be dark so you can see the twinkling light of the fireflies. The boatman will give you lessons on the... More

If you are the type who gets easily amused and gets easily amazed, you will really like this place. Though for some, it just looks like "Christmas lights," to others, it's something really unique and really fascinating. First off, bring a mosquito repellant since mosquitoes really abound in the area (cause there are mangroves). So to avoid acquiring mosquito-borne diseases,... More

We've not seen fireflies for quite a long time- more than half a century ago. Not quite many are seen among the mangroves the night we were there. These vanishing creatures need protection and thanks to those who make the effort to conserve and protect nature. Hopefully, we want to see them again in our place lighting our trees without... This trip was a very unique one. I have seen fireflies before. But the experience of travelling in total darkness on a small row boat into a river is something I had to write about. Your experience of this tour will depend on the tour operator that you choose. All tours include the boat trip in dinner. But what made... More

I cherished our Firefly watching experience! Aside from the friendly and humorous staff, what I like was that the feeling to take care of our environment as we tour around the area. It caught my attention when the staff mentioned that in some areas people are destroying the environment to get money but for them they are preserving the environment... More

I'm convinced fireflies are the source of myths about fairies and pixies. Sailing down the river late at night, watching massive swarms of fireflies flying around the plants and trees, it felt like we were in an enchanted forest. My only regret here is we weren't able to take any pictures that came out good.

too pricy for the experience. the bioluminensce bloom of the plankton is not that interesting to us as we dive a lot and we see that phenomenal a lot during night dives. there is a road with cars going by so it was not dark enough to be completely free of light pollution for star gazing. fireflies were interesting and... We've seen few fireflies when we go there. Disappointing. But anyways the dinner is VERY YUMMY . Seafoodddss . And it's nice to have dinner in the middle of the sea with the baywalk lights view.
