This is by far one of the most beautiful things you can do on this island, and that speaks volumes. You're crazy if you don't do this while you are in Puerto Princesa, but make sure you pick the right tour! I filtered through a number of other reviews to figure out why this attraction wasn't rated higher, and noticed... More

We went to Iwahig at around 9pm. We didn't go for the full package with the buffet and floating restaurant. We only went for the boat ride itself so the price was a lot less. We lucked out because it was a lovely evening, the sky was clear which allowed us to enjoy star gazing. There weren't too many trees... More

Good: Clean river, friendly and knowledgeable staff and plenty of fireflies. Bad: The tour lasted for only 20-25 minutes contrary to what Travel and Tours Agencies claim which is around 45 minutes. Recommendations: Instead of booking your tour with Travel and Tours Agencies which will charge you P950/head (without dinner) or P1,100/head (with dinner), go there yourself. You only have... More

I feel like we went on a completely different tour than the rest of the folks who raved about this tour?!? But we didn't. So let me give an honest review to everybody interested..... You take a shuttle to the port(ours was the bay walk), from there you are told to wait "a maximum of 15 minutes", it was more... More

A very unique tour. Our package included dinner (actually don't they all :-) but out in the bay on an anchored boat, boat ride to a meeting point with transfer to a smaller boat for the journey upriver. It is here were the tour guide lights up the trees with humorous calls to the fireflies. Very pretty and very entertaining.... More

Read about this company after being talked into buying a package. Called several times within 48 hrs to try and cancel after having read such horrible reviews. Was told I had to speak to the person who booked our package and no one else could help us. We're still waiting for our "booking agent" to return our call. Contacted our... More

This was a very special experience for me last night as I have never seen fire flies. My fiancé had and yet she was still blown away by this. Our guide was great and he explained all about fire flies. An unexpected bonus was the star gazing and our guide was very knowledgable about this also. Then the phosphorescent water...... More

I was worried about mosquitoes but surprisingly the river was bug free tonight. The staff were very courteous and friendly. Being paddled down a dark river at night may sound scary but I found it calming. Fireflies were clustered in several mangrove trees like they were christmas trees. I guess there are people who may be expecting some cinematic spectacle... More

I recommend this trip as it is truly an enchanting experience. Wear a light sweater as you may get a night chill. I grew up with fireflys, but this was very different. The trees light up like Christmas. The food was ample, and they will accept special orders in advance. Our guide, Nympha, wss like her name, a little fairy...so... More
