We took the tour from the Baywalk port and there were two groups during that night. The first group went for the dinner first, on a floating restaurant about 5 minutes boat ride away, while we proceeded to the mangrove area for the firefly watching. We transferred to a smaller boat and started the quiet and very dark journey, where... More

I'd never seen fireflies so it was really cool. But if you've seen them before you could pass on this.

I only spent two nights in Puerto Princesa. My flight from Manila arrived at 14:00 PM so I can't do so much on that first day. Firefly watching was perfect time as it started at 7PM on that day. It was about 2 hours drive from the hostel I was staying because of traffice but when we get to the... More

Friends of ours went there and they said they had never seen anything like it as it was the highlight for their holiday.

I was raised around fireflies, so this is a fair place. All the tours are a bit expensive to me, and this one is no exception. The fireflies are indeed cool, but during our visit, there were not that many of them. I might hold on this one and check out the other cooler things.

Didn't expect that the tourguides were that informative not only about all aspects regarding fireflies but also about constellations... Me and my family learned a lot about fireflies and how cool they are! If you're with someone who's really close to your heart, it'll be a really romantic ride along the rivers along Iwahig... Really a must-see tourist spot!

First, make sure you had dinner first before going to Iwahig, although there's a restaurant there already. Second, make a reservation but arrive earlier than your time. We reserved a 9pm slot, we got there at 8:45pm, got number 54, they were just calling number 31. We rode around 10pm already. Third, go during Nov and Dec, no moons, and... More

My boyfriend and I were kinda disappointed because we only saw some fireflies. It is because of the season. It may be romantic if there are plenty of fireflies.

I said scary because it was pitch dark, the river is wide (imagine the width of Pasig River for those from Manila), and you are riding a slim boat good for only 4 people (including the boatman) where any sudden movement might tip the boat over. But you'll soon forget that when you see the fireflies adorning the trees like... More

Went on the tour to see what the fuss was about. It was interesting to see the few fireflies for the first few minutes but essentially theirs only so many you can see. I think it would be great as a couples thing, or for kids, but it's not a particularly exciting trip. The meal that accompanied the trip was... More
