This was my second time to go and it was still a thrilling experience. The moon was bright so the force of the lights coming from the fireflies was under played but it was good to be able to see the waters and the trees and the overall atmosphere was simply amazing.

the long wait was worth it, I was held in awe for the great and wonderful creation of GOD! In the midst of the cool breeze and serene river, high above you ,you will see myriad of stars, constellation and part of the Milky Way. From the sides you will see glittering, twinkling of lights coming from the fireflies. Truly... More

Went here July 2015. The friendliness of the staff are exemplary, they really take care of you. Our boatman/guide seems to know his job well and even cracks a joke (a pun actually) so we just told him not to do another one (haha!) The fireflies just amazed me, i was saying it looked like nature's christmas lights. We also... More

I had my doubts about this part of our trip but was glad we took this adventure. We rode on a small boat on a river with mangroves. The fireflies on the mangroves were like lights on Christmas trees. They were amazing to see. The river was quiet and soothing.

They will pick u up from the hotel and reach baywalk. Then there will be a boat bring you the a floating restaurant. The food there was acceptable. Then you will tranfer to a smaller boat for firefly watching. Don't expect to see firefly everywhere in the mangrove area. There are aound 20+ mangrove tree with firefly (100-1000 of them)... More

I would 100% recommend this even though 2 of the 3 things you can do were not accessible to us because of rain. On this tour, you can see fireflies (awesome), look at constellations (when the sky is clear) and watch glowing plankton (at the sea floor because of the rain for us). Even with the last two things missing,... More

We went on a full moon - so it didn't look as spectacular as it could have. Low tide also made it tricky.... its the little things to consider. But meeting the local chief & his wife was lovely. Check the swell forecast if you're not great with boats

You will not only be amazed by the firefly's light, that makes the mangrove looks like a lighted Christmas tree but what is more mesmerizing are the star gazing that comes with the Firefly Watching.

The mosquitoes can be a nuisance, but repellant seems to work. Very peaceful paddling along the river. The guide was very informative. It brought back happy childhood memories of chasing and playing with fireflies

Back in 2013, my friends and I explored Puerto Princesa, and one of the main places we went to is Iwahig, where firefly watching is the main attraction. This was the last activity for the night on our first day. It was a worthwhile experience because I have never seen so many fireflies in my entire life. And they were... More
