The firefly tour was great and the meal included was great too. We ate on a floating boat. The boat transfers went smoothly as well. Watching the fireflies light up when we made noises was magical.

A bit far, but well worth the trip. Didnt know how fireflies congregate...The whole trip/event is quite organized. Follow instructions and as its dark, pay special attention to where youre going. Once on the small banca (outrigger boat) keep your balance and just view the spectacle. You can ask your guide to flash the IR light a bit more than... More

i recommend this for the couples out there who want to travel to palawan! it is a romantic activity. i'd recommend to go with the tricycle drivers instead of buying the package with the tour company (it's cheaper). the tricycle ride to the place was scary but fun. they give you a bit of info about the places you pass... I love this place as this has become a very intimate moment for me and the person i was with. it is very solemn and truly magical. though after sometime fireflies will just vanish and it will just come back from time to time.

This was the first stop to our Puerto Princesa tour, because our tour guide said that there are many people that drop by at this attraction, and we need to get there as early as we can to avoid the mass number of visitors. Luckily, we got there early, and there was no queue of people yet. Upon arrival, the... More

For city dwellers, this is a great experience especially if you have not seen an actual firefly. The tour takes you down the Iwahig River where mangroves line the riverbank. Like orchestrated little Christmas bulbs, the fireflies would respond to the light flashed on them. The tour guide would even share a few trivia about stars and constellations. Pay 600... More

Having spent our first day in Puerto Princesa wandering around, swimming and eating random food we decided to end the night with the first tour of our trip. The tour we settled on brought us to Iwahig Nature Preserve. They start you off with an awesome buffet dinner in what can only be described as a large, open air bamboo... More

This was my second time to go and it was still a thrilling experience. The moon was bright so the force of the lights coming from the fireflies was under played but it was good to be able to see the waters and the trees and the overall atmosphere was simply amazing.

the long wait was worth it, I was held in awe for the great and wonderful creation of GOD! In the midst of the cool breeze and serene river, high above you ,you will see myriad of stars, constellation and part of the Milky Way. From the sides you will see glittering, twinkling of lights coming from the fireflies. Truly... More

Went here July 2015. The friendliness of the staff are exemplary, they really take care of you. Our boatman/guide seems to know his job well and even cracks a joke (a pun actually) so we just told him not to do another one (haha!) The fireflies just amazed me, i was saying it looked like nature's christmas lights. We also... More
