Didn't expect that the tourguides were that informative not only about all aspects regarding fireflies but also about constellations... Me and my family learned a lot about fireflies and how cool they are! If you're with someone who's really close to your heart, it'll be a really romantic ride along the rivers along Iwahig... Really a must-see tourist spot!

First, make sure you had dinner first before going to Iwahig, although there's a restaurant there already. Second, make a reservation but arrive earlier than your time. We reserved a 9pm slot, we got there at 8:45pm, got number 54, they were just calling number 31. We rode around 10pm already. Third, go during Nov and Dec, no moons, and... More

My boyfriend and I were kinda disappointed because we only saw some fireflies. It is because of the season. It may be romantic if there are plenty of fireflies.

I said scary because it was pitch dark, the river is wide (imagine the width of Pasig River for those from Manila), and you are riding a slim boat good for only 4 people (including the boatman) where any sudden movement might tip the boat over. But you'll soon forget that when you see the fireflies adorning the trees like... More

Went on the tour to see what the fuss was about. It was interesting to see the few fireflies for the first few minutes but essentially theirs only so many you can see. I think it would be great as a couples thing, or for kids, but it's not a particularly exciting trip. The meal that accompanied the trip was... More

We went in a boat with just the guide, our daughter, my husband and I. The fireflys there are different than what we have in America. our guide talked about the constellations and also about the algae in the water that lights up when you touch the water. It was a great visit

I looooooved the firefly watching, I've never seen anything like this. The guide was fantastic, he caught a firefly for us and handed it forward so we could each let it crawl on our hand. He always told us a lot about the constellations, which were quite different from those that we have in Australia. Tours were in groups of... More

This is a small excursion that is not spectacular, but certainly worth to do. You leave the dock and start with a simple dinner on a boat. Than you continue on another boat to see the fireflies. That takes only maybe 15 minutes and it is not spectacular or so, but funny enough, it is a nice, beautiful little experience,... More

I love this experience. It was so exciting to see the fireflies. They were like Christmas lights. I also love the feeling that we were traveling in a very dark place. The moon was our only light. It was like we were in an anaconda movie. It was so peaceful and quiet. The food was okay. It was not hot... More
