We were picked up from our hotel and taken to the baywalk area, where we boarded a boat, and were then taken to another boat, for a buffet dinner! After the dinner, we then proceeded to the area where the firefly are, and had to change to a smaller boat, to travel through the mangroves to watch the firefly in... More

Wow!! This is the place I cherished most during our Puerto Princesa, Palawan visit. Amazing 'natural' Christmas lights!! We booked our family tour from the Aziza Paradise hotel. The tour started with a pick-up from the hotel then buffet dinner which was a good one (unexpected from a local tour)! Tourist guide was very resourceful indeed! Clean place. Recommendable!!

Got this tour packaged with hotel pick-up and dinner buffet at Sonya's Garden for Php1,100.00/pax for 11 people. Send me a PM for my travel agents contact number. Fireflies are spectacular, the sky above is peppered with stars and the planktons in the river are glorious. Our boatman Jayson is very informative, he knows his stuff and expalins it clearly.... It is truly an experience. Especially with a guide that is witty and gives a detail history of the founding of the area and the life span of the firefly. Along the way one can admire the vastness of the mangrove swamp which accordingly to the guide is 2,800km long...one of the longest in the world. Yu need to gauge... More

We took the tour from the Baywalk port and there were two groups during that night. The first group went for the dinner first, on a floating restaurant about 5 minutes boat ride away, while we proceeded to the mangrove area for the firefly watching. We transferred to a smaller boat and started the quiet and very dark journey, where... More

I'd never seen fireflies so it was really cool. But if you've seen them before you could pass on this.

I only spent two nights in Puerto Princesa. My flight from Manila arrived at 14:00 PM so I can't do so much on that first day. Firefly watching was perfect time as it started at 7PM on that day. It was about 2 hours drive from the hostel I was staying because of traffice but when we get to the... More

Friends of ours went there and they said they had never seen anything like it as it was the highlight for their holiday.

I was raised around fireflies, so this is a fair place. All the tours are a bit expensive to me, and this one is no exception. The fireflies are indeed cool, but during our visit, there were not that many of them. I might hold on this one and check out the other cooler things.

Didn't expect that the tourguides were that informative not only about all aspects regarding fireflies but also about constellations... Me and my family learned a lot about fireflies and how cool they are! If you're with someone who's really close to your heart, it'll be a really romantic ride along the rivers along Iwahig... Really a must-see tourist spot!
