Visit this before you die especially if you haven't seen a firefly in your life! I wanna come back here! The waters were so free from pollution that amazing glowing planktons can thrive thus making the water in the river glow when you disturb it!

Personally, I appreciated firefly watching more than the Underground River. My firefly watching and stargazing experience at Iwahig River is very calming..

We arrived 45 minutes before the opening time of the admin. They have a 15 mins group huddle, the staff are friendly, the boat man is knowledgeable and the beauty of such nature is priceless. 600/ per boat, maximum of 4 riders including the boatman The firefly trip would take approximately 45 mins. Trivia: - The services were rendered by... More

I would like to point out that the "Bay-cruise with firefly watching" owned by mr. Angelo cayabo is different from the firefly watching located in iwahig. Please be kind enough to set the address specified in this add correctly so that the comments can be address properly.

Myself and my friend had an evening free in the city (puerto princessa) so decided to book the firefly watching tour. We walked in off the street and booked it in a tourist office, it cost 1100 peso (not sure if we were ripped off or not.. I think most other reviews say it cost around 1000) and included dinner.... Charging 1000php per head is too much - it included buffet dinner and the transport with guide. They should just eliminate the buffet dinner or give an option for tourists to have the tour without dinner. Seriously, the 1000 was a surprise!

it is a very pleasant boat ride, there is even a restaurant in the middle of the ocean. please do not use soap, as the used water goes directly in the ocean. do not use flash photography. very "back to nature". highly recommended

I would not recommend this place if there's even the slightest bit of rain - it was disappointing when we took this tour. There's not much fireflies since it was drizzling, also, part of this tour was star gazing, so just imagine our tour guide being silent when it was supposed to tell us about stars and constellations - there's...
