Nice visit, great food

Located on the bay, it's where the locals go to stroll and ride bicycles. There are plenty of restaurants featuring a very "fresh catch". Beautiful sunset.

Not much in the daytime but a great place to spend the evening as it comes to life with good food stalls at great prices. We spent about three hours with local friends there and had 8 meals with plenty of drinks for less than £30 (about 2000 pesos). It was Valentine's night so busy but great atmosphere with plenty... Nothing to see much here, just food. Nice place to stay after your long day. Locals stay here too just to chill. You can also rent a bike if you want.

It is OK for an early morning stroll, but after school is out it fills up with kids who just congregate there.

We expected the place to be less pricier than the other restaurants we tried. They charged us P600 for about less than a kilo of blue marlin, P400 for shrimps less than half a kilo, P300 for crocodile meat sisig. They did cook these but just the same, we ended up paying more there than another restaurant that was rated... More

Nice to visit in the evening before sun goes down so you can still see the bay before dark. Pleasant stroll with many food vendors. But you have to be a bit adventurous to eat there as food looks unusual and lots of stalls you wonder if ever inspected by the health dept. There is sometimes entertainment also. Saw some... More

We visited the Bayside area twice while in Puerto Princesa. The first time was during the day and by daylight, the area is not very appealing as the small shops are largely closed - but at night when the small restaurants open and the lights are switched on, the Bayside area takes on a whole new life. Well worth a... More
