To my knowledge, i knew there are four Philippine baroque churches recognized in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. But actually only three of them i personally visited. Miag-ao Church was a part of my university life. Being a student of the state university a few meters away from this historical church gave me the opportunity to admire it's baroque architecture every time I would pass by this place.

THERE IS A CLARIFICATION I WOULD HAVE TO MAKE: there are ONLY four churches that make up the serial inscription "Baroque Churches of the Philippines" that was recognized as UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 1993. The Ilocos region are still rich of our colonial Spanish heritage where you can still see churches of that era. I started appreciating this because of my experience in Europe where you can see the richness of their history by preserving monumental landmark that tells their past history-
