Having always wanted to see the orangutangs my partner and i went to bukit Lawang to trek in the jungle. We went with obiwan and his company (indravalleyinn.com) and didn't regret it for one minute. My partner and I spent a week in Bukit Lawang last December with the goal of seeing the Sumatran Orangutans in the wild. I have been trekking through the jungle in North Sumatra 4 times with 3 excellent guides, Kinol, Ronaldo and Togar. I felt so safe, had so much fun, learnt so much about Orang utans and the jungle. The highlight being seeing these fascinating animals so up close in the wild. This really is a must see, especially as they are... More
