Good combo - the riffs give the beach a nice tropical outfit and the planted trees near the beachline make it possible to sneak around in half shadows. Yet, for good selfies, drive around the corner to Panti Ngandong... it will be worth it.

Sundak is quite a drive from Yogya. We usually went there and camped at the beach. There are also many nice beaches and bays around sundak, so drive around and chose the one you like. You cannot swim on sundak itself - but one beach before (sundakan) swimming is possible because the water is deeper and there are no reefs... More

Its too far from main city centre of Yogjakarta and nothing much you can do in the beach, no snorkelling, no diving and no water sports. but clean and less crowded.

The journey to this place takes approximately 2.5 hours from the city of Jogjakarta. Arriving there, the place is not too crowded. We enjoyed the atmosphere of the beach with the sunny skies in the afternoon. Not long ago, there was a cliff on the left coast that we can climb, of course, subject to an additional fee of 2000... One of less crowded beach in southern Yogyakarta. White sandy beach, very clean. About 2 hours from Yogyakarta city, but you'll find its worth to visit. This beach is my favorite beach, several time visit here, my boy really like it, he can play sand castle here.

no need to spend your time here. It has nothing compare to Drini Beach. But it has a very expensive cottage you can rent.

It's pretty nice to find a good beach while going to Yogyakarta. Sundak is one of many beaches located along the way. Going here is only for sightseeing, don't expect to swim cause the tide tend to be high and dangerous.

When we travel to the beaches in Gunung Kidul, almost all of the beaches are full. But Sundak is the beautiful one and still empty. It has white sand, and the beatiful coral. The beach is equpped with colourfull umbrella that are opened in the evening.
