The journey to this place takes approximately 2.5 hours from the city of Jogjakarta. Arriving there, the place is not too crowded. We enjoyed the atmosphere of the beach with the sunny skies in the afternoon. Not long ago, there was a cliff on the left coast that we can climb, of course, subject to an additional fee of 2000... One of less crowded beach in southern Yogyakarta. White sandy beach, very clean. About 2 hours from Yogyakarta city, but you'll find its worth to visit. This beach is my favorite beach, several time visit here, my boy really like it, he can play sand castle here.

no need to spend your time here. It has nothing compare to Drini Beach. But it has a very expensive cottage you can rent.

It's pretty nice to find a good beach while going to Yogyakarta. Sundak is one of many beaches located along the way. Going here is only for sightseeing, don't expect to swim cause the tide tend to be high and dangerous.

When we travel to the beaches in Gunung Kidul, almost all of the beaches are full. But Sundak is the beautiful one and still empty. It has white sand, and the beatiful coral. The beach is equpped with colourfull umbrella that are opened in the evening.

Not many people know the existence of this beautiful beach. It takes a long ride from Jogjakarta, through Wonosari. The beach is at Tempus, and being maintained by local. There is a admission charge, some nice guesthouses with affordable price, and we could also rent umbrella and mattress from the local. There is food and drink being sold, and off... More

It was a rewarding 2,5 hours driving from Jogjakarta, passing by hilly road and many farms. The beach was not cluttered, eventhough we were there on weekend, hopefully it will be stay the same, less commercial area cleaner beach. Named after a fabel of a fight between Dog and Porcupine (Sundak is abbreviation from : aSU - in Javanese is... More
