This is a good museum located near Kali Urang. I was glad that I didn't skip visiting this place during my holiday in Jogjakarta. This is a well maintained place, very unique, along with knowledgeable and brief staf that guide all the visitors with story and explanation of the beautiful royal Javanese family. The tour will start with the exhibition... More

My second visit here. My first was at 2008 and I was so amused that's why I want to come here again. Apparently for over 6 years the museum quite change a lot. The architecture is still amazing, I love it so much. But there's still some renovations and the route has changed (I like the old route). Plus, since... More

One of the must visit place in Jogjakarta. You can learn about the history of Javanese culture and Javanese Batik from this Private Museum. Beside Museum, Ullen Sentalu now has a gallery that sell clothes and any kind of souvenirs. The entrance fees are divided into Indonesian, KITAS Holder, and International Tourist. Make sure to bring your KITAS and show... More

This is a private museum, you are not allowed to take photos in most part of it. Every group of visitor would be provided by one tour-guide who would explain everything inside the museum. I was there with a visiting fellow from Japan, so the guide spoke in English. It's a very standard English (or can I say it's a... More

I had high expectation about this museum because my friend said that this could very much be the best museum in Indonesia.. Well, perhaps it has the potential to be one... The museum displays relics, pictures, and arts from Royal Javanese Houses, in hope to preserve and educate people about the Javanese art and culture. The museum itself houses quite... More

This was my second time here. I definitely in love with this museum and can't have enough of it. The place is beautiful, well maintained, comfortable, it has indoor and outdoor sections, the guide is professional and knows a lot about Javanese culture. It has a romantic Western restaurant above the museum an a boutiqe/souvenir shop in the area.

if you want to learn the ancient Javanese genealogy, this is the place, a very interesting museum concept, through the halls and unique buildings, it is fun and not boring. Visitors are always accompanied by a guide who can explain in detail each of the objects or pictures in the display.

I have been to this place twice. The first time gave me better memory than the second time. With jncrasing its popularity, it became very crowded. We had to queue to enter the museum. At that time it was raining and there was no proper place for guests to wait. I just waited in the car since I brought my... More

I came here twice, the first one is more than 4 years ago with my office colleagues. The museum location and architecture itself is wonderful and makes you enter a time machine to an ancient village. The first trip, it amazed me with the good and well maintained collections (in Indonesia, it's actually an achievement), the professional and nice tour... More

This place is very interesting for me as I could learn many historical background of Yogyakarta. How the kingdom formed until today. A nice environment surrounding the place as well. Although the tour was too fast for me to absorb the whole thing. If only we have additional 2-3minutes in every stops then it would be perfect. Overall, the tour... More
