if you are an outdoor enthusiast, Mount Merapi is certainly a must visit place in Jogya! The breathtaking sceneries along the trail to the lookout point is very fun & memorable..

we had hired a local Jeep there which will take you right to the foot of Merapi hills. You can experience a big mountain just in front of you and can notice the lava coming out of it. traveling in jeep itself is roller coaster ride. tour at merapi and goa pindul,took a jeep to visit this place,not recommended for children and senior citizen cause the road are bumpy and quite extreme, but the view are unique and beautiful remember the people who stay here when disaster happen,,,,:(,,,;(

It was a memorable journey. Enjoying it a lot. we arrived there around 5am just have enough time to wait for sunrise. Taking a great photos. A great addition of beautiful nature. After learning of the volcanic eruption in 2010, I've always set my heart on visiting this place. Took a jeep for the shortest ride (one and half hours) - the longest can go up to 3-4 hours! We settled for the shortest as it was already drizzling when we arrived. It was a bumpy jeep ride which I didn't mind.... More

Buah salak are cheap and very sweet over there. Toilets are every where..no need to worry about going to the loo and it's only Rp2,000 per entry. No camera? no worries..freelance photographer are every where too..

We took a jeep ride to get us around here. At first we wanted to hike but, decided against it. start hiking at 01:00 in the morning and at is still probable that you can see a beautiful sunset from the top and nice view on the surrounding mountains!
