It's perfect place for taking pictures. You must see the KOI in the back. Peaceful ambience and just enjoy the places

The house was well taken care for and you can see how the rich chinese live in the old days but unfortunately there are no guides and no furniture, just a big old building.

Old Town has many old-style buildings and shops that shown you the past and glorious time in Jakarta. This is one from the Chinese past time and locks like a temple from the outside, inside however its a house with empty halls. It is closed by new main buildings. Nothing to say more.

A complex of house belonged to chinese major general in the 18th century. Looks like a temple from the outside, inside however its a house with empty halls on both sides and the main building. Too bad this heritage could have been made better known if it was more obvious from the outside.

As a Chinese Indonesia born, it's one of a great feeling to see the heritage of my ancestor. Despite the massive growth of Jakarta, this small house remain steady and blend with the Modern Culture. Which is why I gave 5 stars for this attraction. However, as one of tourisey spot, organizers might be expected to give more added values,... More

I am really glad for the decision to preserve the building with so much history and elegance. The building has been well kept to reflect the past. Too bad the modern hotel was built without any effort to maintain the architectural flavor of the old home. The land space was not wisely utilized to place the building as the center... More

I stopped by at night after a local friend mentioned the place to me as being really cool as they built the Novotel hotel / serviced apartment / condo complex around and over the old building rather than tear it down like what usually happens. The later project had been stalled for many years - I think since the Asian... More

We're very surprise to find this beautiful complex of old Chinese houses when we visited the Novotel. It was a good example of how a development of a new building need not always destroyed the old one, as it mostly happened in Jakarta.
