The main attraction at Monas is its observation deck. From there, you can see Jakarta from the high. As you enter the vicinity, you will have to pay admission. When I visited Monas in 2000 it's definetly changes than the past. The park and the area around the Monas well organize and comfort. To protect Monas, local government had been built fences around monas, so the visitor (tourist) will be feel safe been here You can see around Jakarta from the top of monas. to reach the top, you... more

We went to the MONAS on the weekend where it was quite crowded with families playing games and having picnics. If you want to go at a less busy time, try going on the weekdays instead. The center of the park contains a gigantic "torch" monument with a flame purported to be made of pure gold. This is a great... more
