Brought my family of 2 kids (age 8 & 13) to the gallery and workshop in Depok on a Saturday afternoon. Took us about 1.5 hrs fr Jakarta city to reach there by car using GPS. Lovely greenery greeted us when we arrived. Remembered to apply mosquito repellant though. Entrance fee is 10000R Had a simple traditional Indonesia lunch. The... More

If you love beauty, this is the place to go. Beautiful clay ceramics and statues, beautiful seating area, beautiful homey house. I dare you to come here and not buy anything they sell.

The place is clean and calm. Ceramics are attractive. I just found my most favorite place in Jakarta.

I came to Widayanto ceramic house in Jakarta (Setia Budi) and Depok (Tanah. Baru) a few time. Widayanto ceramic house in Depok is more bigger than ceramic house in Jakarta. It surrounded by the lush greenery and pollutant ion free air (indeed). You can take your kid to make ceramic there and guided by the expertise ceramic artists. You could... More

We visited the outlet in Depok because it was the only outlet that offered a ceramic workshop at that Saturday. The place is not as in the google maps from the website, but after asking twice we found the place. The place is really nice with a big house full of art pieces, a galery, and some small garden houses.... More

The artist, F. Widayanto, apparently has 3 outlets you can visit, but we chose this one (as per the address listed on TA) partially because (according to their website) the artist's home is also here. We'd booked a driver for the day and when we showed him the address, he knew how to get to the general area but still... More

Depok is a long way from the city and so it was nice to find this little oasis of calmness and serenity in the madness that is this far south of the city. It is hard to find so be patient and definitely print out the address to show the locals who will point you, eventually, in the right direction.... More

This was a great trip that we took about 60 first grade students on. The staff of Widayanto was so helpful, we only had 9 adults on the trip. The students were able to make different clay objects and paint a kite while there. The trip also included a snack when we first got off the bus and a lunch... More

There are many Widayanto galleries in Jakarta. My friend and I went to Setiabudi and had a really nice experience doing the clay workshop with the staff. For 140,000 IDR, we were able to make a mug and some cure designs from tons of mold available. I made bees and leaves while my friend made fishes and turtles. You can... More
