I did the Krakatu camping tour via krakatauecotourism.com in feb 2015. It's chinese new year in Singapore and we all get 4 days off and it's perfect place to go i thought. Big waves when departed from Carita. Boat runs 10 minutes when finally decided to go back because it will take a long time to get to Krakatau in unfriendly trip. We booked an all inclusive day trip to Krakatau. They picked us up in 2 buses, one of which had a faulty tire, we had to keep stopping and pumping it up which was slightly annoying but as 3 year Jakarta veterans we get used to this stuff, so not overly annoying. From the beginning,"guide Samsul" tried to double the price of the tour that we have concluded. He wanted 2.500.000 rp instead of 1.250.000. I visited Anak Krakatau after snorkeling and stay in Sebesi Island. From Sebesi Island tourists can use the boat for 2 hours drive to reach the Krakatau Nature Reserve.
