If you are a nature lover and if you like the sea, Ujung Kulon National Park is a place for you.. The islands around are worth exploring. We saw flying foxes in the island we stayed and other islands. It seems like it is very common there. We stayed at Peucang Island, many deers, longtailed macques and wild boars were... More

I went there for tracking the mountain Honje with a tour leader. The local tour guide was very helpful and friendly. The track was medium to advanced, you should wear proper hiking shoes and bring stick because on the way back, it was literally going through the river. Too bad that our tour agent didn't give proper information related to... More

This place is just perfect. Perfect clarity, perfect peace and beautifully perfect. But the way here takes so long time. Be patient during the trip.

December and january are not the best time to go to Ujung Kulon. Big wave, unless u're expecting it! I was terrified, hahaha. Ujung Kulon is like back to basic, no electricity, limited water. But Peucang island offers a better accommodation compared to that in Handeulum island. I love the pristine water, the forest, the deers running around in peucang... More

First of all I would like to clear that we are frequent Indonesia visitors so we've had our share of the culture. We've done more trekkings and back to basic experiences so we do have comparisons. We emailed Ujong Kulon Eco Tourism (Iyan) beforehand and he quickly replied. The transfer from Jakarta was fine and the first hotel was also... More

Let me start by stating that both the island itself and Java's most western tip are of relatively untouched beauty. Sporadic remnants of the Portugese and Dutch colonisation are reclaimed by jungle greens, and a ruined fortification looks like a set for an Indiana Jones film. There is also wildlife in abundance (we saw Rhinoceros Hornbills quite close above us,... More
