If you're not in a hurry and wanna find some peace for your spirit, go to the Xuan Wu Lake in the morning and walk along the lake.

The lake would be very fun in summer. January, not so much. There are boats that you can rent or larger ones to take you around.

Even in the middle of winter, the lake area was beautiful. Went for a very pleasant run and was able to enjoy the natural beauty as well as the various people walking around.

It is a huge place. Good for a walk. Prefer to go there at daytime. Best part is McDonald's. Peaceful. Nothing special about it except nature. 1 hour is enough

It's a lake in the city center, many citizens come here for leisure, but if you are a visitor, it's not a must visit place because many buildings around the lake, you can't take beautiful photos.

Breathtaking scenery and enjoyed the view. Nice walking across the lake and oversee all the high rise buildings and you can feel you are in the centre location surrounded by mountains and busy city.

Many children, parents and grandchildren love to visit here. If you want to see the real Nanjing go to Xuanwu, walk the great city wall, see Jiming temple and sample the street food.

We went with our niece and her friend to walk the shores and take a boat ride. They have a nice slow boat that you can drive around the lake for a few dollars. There is much more to do here, but it truly is a refuge from the city.
