This is a great weekend outing. You can hire bikes at Sha Tin at the river behind the New Town Plaza and ride all the way Tolo Harbour to Tai Po. Stop at Hong Kong University for a caffeine break at one of the many cafes along the waterfront or even stop for lunch before riding to Tai Po Park.... More

It might be a bit of a hassle to find yourself around since with all the redirections due to the renovations. you might want to wear a mask because of the dust.

I had meetings there and as it was my first visit I had a walk around. Be prepared for lots and lots of steps since this is wrapped around hills. I stayed at Robert Black's on the campus and it was very convenient and comfortable. My meetings were in brand new buildings, which still have to work out their air... More

The University of Hong Kong isn't a conventional attraction nor a place visited by many who come to Hong Kong. One of the things you can see here that is open to the public is the University Museum and Art Gallery, which has a nice collection of art and antiquities. The Museum and Art Gallery is housed in the Fung... More

I went here as a guide from my hometown and bring university students to visit this university. It was a good university I guessed. It was huge, maybe a complete lab (since I never seen any before). Overall, it's just a good university

HKU is Asia's and 1 of the world's best universities. It won't rank as a top tourist attraction, though, and I'd only recommend it to those who have a lot of time on their hands in Hong Kong. Those carting along their laptops can use free wifi on campus. There are some (but not many) food outlets, the best of... More

The university has an interestingly laid out modern campus with a scattering of charming old buildings. I loved strolling there and stopping for a book sale in one of the rooms. There is free wifi throughout the campus. The on-campus museum of a art is a delightful stop on the way out toward Bonham Road.
