Plenty of water

Take plenty of water with. Go early and it's very hard walking in the late morning lunch time heat. Good views.

Foe something different in Hong Kong you have to try one of the many walks available in their parks. This trail has some very tough sections with stair climbing training necessary but the effort is well worth it when you reach the peaks.

If you need Clean fresh air, this is one of my favourite trails in Hong Kong. Slight tough but complete worth the effort especially when the beach and pizzeria awaits you.

Trail 2 is an interesting yet not very demanding section of the Lantau Trail if you are reasonably fit. Take a boat from Central to Mui Wo at Central Ferry Pier 6. Begin the trek from Mui Wo Pier to Nam Shan Camp Site and continue up to Sunset Peak at 700 meters "Section 2 of the Lantau Trail begins... More

I did the hike from Ngong Ching up Lantau Peak and down to the road on the other side. It was amazing. Taxing ascent (requiring decent fitness and loads of water), absolutely stunning views at the top, and lovely, gradual descent as you walk down the beautiful ridge line. And, as always in Hong Kong, the paths are well maintained,... More

It's without a doubt that it was a great sense of accomplishment- having lumbered up lackadaisically on those deceitful steps, and back down the other way. The sugary satisfaction of having 'work' for it, and finally arriving at the most talked about bronze Buddha statue in Hong Kong. It's a feeling that only one word can sum it all- Pride.... More

This is a path that runs from Tung Chung all the way to big Buddha it is roughly a 4-5hour walk up and down various other peaks till you get to Buddha, if you want to do this trail you should be physically fit and take plenty of water. The trail runs through a lot of forestry but once you... More

This simple little hiking trail is fantastic, very doable even for the amateur trekker and is an easy going walk around lantau island. most people tend to bike around so the hiking trail doesnt get too busy which is a great thing!

A nice trail which gives beautiful views over the island and the sea. Enjoy some of the more remote areas in Hong Kong and end up with a nice drink and meal in one of the small harbour seafood restaurants.
