The Sogo mall itself isn't much to marvel at. It's just a large, upscale Japanese-style department store. But the mall is located in the heart of Causeway Bay where it seems you need to be certified cool and stylish to hang out. Near the entrance is a crosswalk to cross Hennessy Road. That crosswalk reminds me much of Tokyo's famed... More

We have been 5 times to Hong Kong and always visited this store. The range and quality of goods is unrivalled. We have always purchased something to bring home, and have found the staff always so helpful and knowledgeable. We fully recommend the store to anyone visiting Hong Kong, a must do along with the peak! Des and Maureen February... More

Occupying one of the landmark corners in Causeway Bay, Sogo seems to be somewhat of a local shopping institution. If offers a good range of middle-upper brands and prices, but if you go during sales periods such as Chinese New Year, you should be able to find good deals. At 17+ floors, I dare say it would be the largest... More

A very busy department store which has a wide choice of goods such as perfume, clothes and shoes. I was looking for a jacket/cardigan on the third floor ladies clothing department and found the staff working in the concessions very unhelpful, and uninterested and I would say that they had no incentive to sell or help customers. Too many customers... More

This is a mall that I have to go every time I'm in HK. Basically, you can find everything there. From CK underwear to golf clothes and accessories to branded goods. There is always a lift queue to go to the level 9 event hall for sales item, but i think you can skip it as I always can't find... More

SOGO is a Japanese department store with two branches in Hong Kong, including this very large flagship store in Causeway Bay. One of the things we like about SOGO in Causeway Bay is the basement supermarket, which carries a wide range of Japanese food and drink items. In addition to traditional supermarket items, there are 8-10 food stalls and kiosks... More

Sogo is a department store that is 10 floors tall. It sells everything that you can think of. The basement of the store consist of a Japanese market with fresh seafood from japan. We went on a weekend and man it was crowded. There is a main escalator in the middle of the store and if you get off on... More

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centers of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
