We went with a large party celebrating the Hong Kong G C 125th celebrations. We had a private box which initially was hard to find but once in it was a memorable experience. The buffet food was outstanding. Placing a bet was easy and you can watch the races on television or from the large patio outside. Because it was... More

Great night out at the track, cheap enough to get in can get busy as there was a beer festival on when we went, can recommend leaving before the end as the demand for taxis out weigh the taxis out side, but well worth it for the experience of Happy Valley race track.

if you don't like to gamble, consider your losses an entertainment tax. Great atmosphere. Starts slow and gets packed by the last races on Wed night.

Went on Come Racing Tour to both Happy Valley and Sha Tin. Efficient transfers good food with unlimited alcohol and soft drinks. The table at both race courses gave a great view. The staff provided a fabulous service. Worth going

The private members grandstand area is fantastic for its view of the track, the food and the service (you can get member's guest tickets if you ask around) but for the best experence join the masses on the flat. Go in shorts and a T-shirt. Enjoy a couple of beers and have a flutter on the horses. Back the Australian... More

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centers of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
