Being a seasoned horse-race aficionado, I cannot rate highly enough the atmosphere of the night races at Happy Valley race course. The prize money on offer and the total pool gambled is unbelievable. I can't believe how packed the place was.....apparently the course generates a ton of money for the city (makes up for the low income tax in HK and lack of sales tax in HK) More

Even if you're not a horse racing fan, this is yet another must do in the city that just makes you keep saying "WOW!" A very exciting atmosphere, the odd band between races and great for a bit of people watching, well worth the 80p($10HK) entry fee. The greenest grass you'll ever see! More
