Fun night scene

This is such a fantastic area of town filled with bars. It is so much fun to stroll around the block and bar hop or just people watch!

I've been quite impressed with this place. Great bars and clubs on LKF and in the surrounding areas on the nice sloping streets. Always a good atmosphere, especially on busy Friday nights. Mostly expats, but some locals too. It is damn expensive -- bars will charge you at least HKD50 for a beer -- but you can, if necessary, buy... More

If you're an outgoing and party person then this is the place to be! It is easily accessible by metro from either Central or Hong Kong stations. It's a big walking street full of bars, restaurants, clubs, and 7-11s. You can buy cheaper drinks/beers at the convenient stores and drink them on the street while hanging out with your friends... Lan Kwai Fong is a must for anyone visiting Hong Kong, we were staying in Kowloon we took a taxi from Mongkok which cost us around 100 hkd around £8.00. i would recommend using the MTR system its much cheaper and quicker. once you get there it is buzzing such a great atmosphere with people dancing in the street, the... This is really a western-style place full of trendy bars with partygoers spilling out onto the street. Great if you want a late-night piss-up but not the heart of Asian culture! It really depends on what you want on how you will rate it.

Staying in Central

Neighborhood Profile
Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
