This street has the most happening nightlife in Hong Kong. A whole line of bars, lots of activity...good to spend an evening here. Take a round of the whole street, choose 2-3 bars you would like to visit and have a drink at each. End with a meal at boom shack they do some good tacos, burritos, chicken waffles and... More

This is the place to visit at the weekends with the outdoor areas of all the bars where people watch and drink together. It's always busy with people mingling from all walks of life

If you love to party, dance and drink the night away this scene is for you. I went salsa dancing at a night club in the are, I met great people and had a memorable time.

Plus some decent restaurants. Younger scene, filled with a mix of locals and expats and tourists. Great for a few drinks and people watching.

And what are those things? Be young. Be beautiful. Be rich. And if you are none of those things, you can still go and soak in the atmosphere cheaply by bringing your own glass and dropping in at any 7-11 first. LKF is especially popular on festival nights like Halloween, (any) New Year's Eve--though most have forgotten the disaster that... More

Besides being the central hub of pubs & clubs galore, I love the fact is used to be the ol waste dump district of colonial HK that went upscale haha... a lot of interesting architecture there that hopefully will survive capitalistic growth over time ...

If you are looking for fun, just come here and you won't be disappointed. You'll find locals and foreigners in LKF, either drinking that super expensive drink or getting easily drunk by those happy hours. If you are a woman, go there on Wednesday or Thursday - a lot of bars have ladies night then and you'll end up drinking... More

There are so many different bars, pubs, nigh clubs to visit and entertain yourself that I suggest you definitely pop by and see what the night life is all about in Hong Kong. There are hills and steps to climb so I suggest comfortable shoes and make sure you can walk long distances. It can get crowded so be careful... More

LKF is a must see for anyone new to HK. It is a bit touristy, but it is still a good time with tons of people, restaurants and bars. Bring your comfortable shoes and dress cool (temperature wise) as the streets are very intense up and down and in the summer you WILL sweat...A LOT.

Staying in Central

Neighborhood Profile
Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
