The tram is excellent and its safety record is faultless. We paid to go to the Sky Peak viewing platform which was well worth the extra money. Amazing view from the top. we had to queue for about 20 minutes to ride the tram. Had a really good set menu meal at the top. Best of all you can use your octopus card to ride to the top and back. more

The Peak Tram is a great funicular railway, but the experience is marred somewhat by having to pay to access Sky Terrace at the top. Fortunately at 1200 on a Saturday the queues were not long (and non existent coming down at 1435) but at 1445 the wait to ascend would have been 15 to 25 minutes judging by appearances.... more
