I arrived early and Tomoko (who was scheduled to run my session) was still at lunch so Zoe very obligingly ran me through some teas and allowed me to taste some. Tomoko was great - she walked me through a number of different teas and also gave me some great tips for other things to do in HK. Don't expect... More

We had such a good experience visiting Mincha Tea House. Tomoko our tea tasting teacher was delightful, informative and passionate about tea and it's preparation. We learnt so much and now have a new appreciation of the delicate nature of tea preparation and it's healing effects. Vivian the owner came out to say hi and when asked for a recommendation... More

Hi Nina & Michael, Glad that you like the tea tasting workshop that Tomoko has guided you through. MingCha is located in a neighborhood that is away from the touristy spots but there are still a lot of interesting shops around. Really enjoyed having the wonton noodles and the conversation together. Let's stay in touch and happy tea-ing! Best regards,... More

Great wonderful stay at MingCha in raining afternoon of April. Having subtle scent and taste of Chinese Tea relaxed me. Small but cozy place of white-tone room. Time flows slowly in this tea salaon. Must visit.

Had a wonderful tea tasting hosted by Zowie, the junior tea master. Our group consisted of myself and two other buddies from North America, all tea novices. We called when we decided to go and it happened to work out well that they can accommodate a visit within an hour. Zowie guided us well, explaining the differences between the chosen... More

This teahouse is such wonderful place to spend part of an afternoon! My husband and I very much enjoyed our tea tasting hosted by Zowie. She educated us about Chinese tea and now we can't get enough of it!

Until our yesterdays tea workshop we never paid much attention to tea, but this was an amazing experience. Zowie, a Junior Tea Master at MingCha, explained to us a great deal about tea, while showing us how to correctly prepare and experience it. Would recommend to anyone with a bit of spare time in Hong Kong and some gastronomical curiosity.

So there I was, coming back from Ngong Ping on the MTR heading Central Station. My purpose: to reach Victoria Peak on a Saturday afternoon in my last day in Hong Kong. I planned exactly what to do, but with I had this "I am not sure" feeling. It was 2 pm and some colleagues told me about how Victoria... More

We had one day in Hong Kong before flying back to Zurich. While our friends chose to go to the beach, we decided to go to MingCha instead, hoping to stock up on some great tea and learn a thing or two about their green teas and oolongs. We were greeted by the super knowledgeable Tomoko (who grew up in... More
