My two children (18 and 16) and I had an interesting afternoon and learned a lot about tea. The nice (work)shop is easy to reach by dubbeldeck tram or MTR. There is so much to tell and learn about tea, now we drink and buy tea with more attention and drinking tea is more fun now. The (originally japanese) lady... More

I visited MingCha on a recent trip to Hong Kong. Tomoko spent about two hours walking us through the different teas. She was very welcoming, knowledgable and passionate about tea. All of us found it interesting to learn about the origins and processes that make each of the teas taste the way they do. After our tasting Tomoko was happy... More

The crew is os nice to you, they can teach you a lot about the tea. And the tea species are like anywhere else. I bought there the jasmine blossom, a perfect for a gift from HK. Maybe a bit expensive like just for a tea but it's worth it. It's a bit hard to find but when I came... More

It is hard to find, but with the Tripadvisor app and the friendly people from the gas station, you will get there. They have great tea and you should definitely taste some.

I greatly enjoyed my experience at the MingCha Tea House. Tomoko took her time to explain the various teas and the process making them and was very patient answering all of my novice questions. The location is a bit out of the way but don't give up it is well worth it and the factory floor folks know where to... More

I read about this tea workshop on trip advisor and was so intrigued I made a reservation for my husband and me and our friend. Tomoko was our instructor and we all enjoyed the way she presented the types of tea and willingness to let us taste a few not usually brewed during the two hrs. My husband is a... More

Don't be disheartened by the location. You need to take an elevator in the factory building to reach this place but you'll be glad you made the effort! I cam here with my girlfriend because she is quite a big fan of tea. Being a bit of a coffee snob I thought I wouldn't get too much out of the... More

I am a tea geek being back from England and married an brit. PG Tips doesn't satisfy my thirst of digging into tea cultural and top notch tea really. So what is a better thing to do in HK, then to learn about Tea! As Fortnum and Mason tea salesman will tell you honestly that "the chinese do not sell... More

I’ve had the tea tasting at Ming Cha a few times. Each time is excellent. This time I arranged a tea tasting for a Sistas in Hong Kong. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Vivian, the owner, is definitely an expert and the best tea expert I’ve met…and I’ve met a lot of people who claim to be “tea experts”. The tea... More

We had an amazing day with Vivian at Mingcha! She was so knowledgable and funny and we both are enthusiastic but picky tea drinkers. We opted not to do the full tea tasting with each tea category and instead for $100 HKD each selection and Vivian still gave us education about the tea making and characteristics of each. We cannot... More
