There seem to be 2 islands refered to as Macau. One seems more historical, and the other ( Taipa) spanking new with lots of as hopping and dazzling casinos - Sands, Galaxy, Venetian, Wynn, etc, and the new City of Dreams. It reminds me of Hawaii, where there is no one "Hawaii" but different islands that make up Hawaii. Macau... More

We took the Cotai Water Jet hydrofoil from Sheung Wan terminal in Hong Kong to Taipa in Macau. Sat in First Class on the top deck. We chose Cotai Water Jet over the rival TurboJet mainly because Cotai goes to the Taipa terminal which was closer to our hotel. TurboJet mainly serves the Macau terminal. Also Cotai seemed to have... A comfortable and easy way to get to Macau from Kowloon! It's clean and reserved seating too with full air-con, try it!

Listened to the advice from a tour guide and took the day trip on Monday as opposed to a heavily traveled Sunday. No problems getting over on a rainy day at the reasonable cost. However, it would have been nice to know the ferry DEPARTS at another terminal a 15 minute cab ride away. AND, it arrives at a different... More

Took the ferry to Macau without previously booking and had no trouble getting tickets. We got Premium deluxe on recommendation from Trip Advisor. So pleased we did as seats were lovely, had a snack and drinks and it was very comfortable with less people than downstairs. We disembarked first and it was before the rush. We also took another company... More

The easiest way to travel between Hong Kong and Macau is by ferry. Both Cotai Water Jet and Turbo Jet run regular services between the two cities. The majority of Cotai Water Jet's services dock at Taipa Ferry Terminal in Macau, which is closer to the Cotai Strip, although both ferry terminals in Macau have frequent free shuttle buses that... My family of 5 were on Cotai First Class traveling from Macau Taipa to HongKong Macau Ferry Terminal on 2-Jan 2015 12:00. To our dismay, upon disembarking we realise that my elderly father's luggage was missing as another passenger had taken it by mistake. We were flustered and worried as his medication was in his tagged and personalized luggage. To... More

We traveled from Macau to Hong Kong Airport (Sky Pier One), the ferry ride was very smooth, the bathrooms were clean and seating spacious. Very good staff and service, and at the ferry terminal on receiving end there were airline counters who checked us in straight away. If you take this service from Taipa Ferry terminal then your bags can... More

Tried booking online multiple times with different cards and there was apparently something wrong with merchant. Walked in on day of trip and told them we wanted the ferry at 10am and return ferry at 5.30pm. The guy was in such a rush he provided us return ferry timing stated at 9.30pm and ensured us we could take any ferry... More

If you are booked on the Cotai strip in Macau, this is the best way to go as once you arrive in Macau, it will just take you 15 mins to go to your hotel. The ferry ride is about 1 hr long. Our ride was smooth but if you have motion sickness try to take medicine first before going... More
