It only costs about HK3 to travel from Hong Kong island to Kowloon by ferry. If you take a taxi it can cost up to HK150 depending on which tunnel the taxi driver chooses!! Note: West tunnel is most expensive It is so convenient and you don't normally have to wait long for the ferry to arrive. No traffic and... More

Great way to get around. Views are amazing and there is little to no wait. Everything is well marked and very clean. Make sure you get your Octopus Card

It's so convenient and cheap. Plus you're away from the crowded mtr and you get a nice feel of the breeze as well. I always use it and prefer it as an alternative to the MTR when i'm in central and going to kowloon or vice versa.

In a city that isn't cheap, this is one attraction that is. Very efficient service. Useful to be able to cross from Kowloon to either Central or Wan Chai, so you can do a loop or avoid using MTR. Good to do both day and night to get a different perspective on the city

If visiting Hong Kong make sure you have at least one trip on the Star Ferry from or to Central to Kowloon. It is even better if you are a senior as there is no charge at all. Hong Kong is very caring of its seniors and extends that courtesy also to foreign visitors. It is almost a tradition in... More

Getting where we were going (from Kowloon to Central) felt like an experience in itself rather than a chore. We used the token machine and it was less than $1 for two of us to cross. Loved the view, even from the lower deck. Definitely recommended!

This is well signposted and really is one of those unmissable things to do whilst in HK. There never seems to be more than a few minutes wait to board a ferry and a nice touch are the old style and very smart naval uniforms all the deck hands and dock workers wear. The views of either HK or Kowloon... More

We were lucky that on the day we used it UNIQLO was offering a free ride for everyone. It's cheap when you have to pay anyway. Great way to cross the bay with Ferries every few minutes. Fantastic views of both sides of the city.

Cheap fare and great views while crossing the harbour. Definitely make sure you catch the Star Ferry instead of always getting the MTR to/from central. Make sure you board on the upper deck for the best views!

This is a fun ride and you are able to see the skyline of both Hong Kong and Kowloon. It is cheap and his fun day or night.
