For HK$3 you can cross a great harbor and experience a great view. It's probably one of the best iconic trips in the world.

This is a must to go from Kowloon and Hong Kong Island. And the view is amazing. Definitely would recommend.

For literally cents, you can take the Ferry from Hong Kong to Kowloon and vice versa. This is a really cool thing to do with the family or even as a couple in the evening with the great view of the HK skyline. You can even use it as your method of transport for crossing the harbour. A really large... More

The ferry costs HKD $2.50 during the week and HKD$3.40 at weekends and is one of the best bargains you'll find in Hong Kong. If you take the ferry from Kowloon to Wanchai, sit on the right hand side of the ferry on the top deck for the best views, and if you go to Central also sit on the... More

Good experience worth doing The ferries mostly depart to Outlying Islands in the New Territories, with the exception of Pier 1 serving as a government pier, and ferries from Pier 7 going to Kowloon. The destinations or uses of the piers are as follows: Pier 1: Government of Hong Kong pier Pier 2: Park Island Pier 3: Discovery Bay Pier... More

Ok so this is purely a boat(s) to get from Koowlong to the main part or vice versa but I believe it is a very iconic part of HK. The skyline of the city has certainly changed over the years but these boats have not, and it gives you a great view of the bay, harbours and the city skyline... More

Star Ferry is an experience - cheap, efficient, great views of Kowloon and HK Island (especially at night), a must-see tourist destination - plus a very useful way of getting from TST to Central and vice-versa.

Yes, it's an old ferry in a modern city. I had fun but I'm not sure it's quite as amazing as some would have you believe. It's cheap, kind of funky, and a cool way to see the harbour though...I'm glad we tried it out a few times. I don't know, wouldn't say it was a highlight of our visit... More

You can easily and cheaply get a cab across to the island through one of the tunnels from Kowloon, but for ambience, views, and bustle you can't beat the star ferry. And when it is hotter than hades as it is in Hong Kong in September, the moving breeze is very welcome indeed.
