I liked how convenient and easy it is to use. You just pay the really low price and you hop on the boat and it takes you across the water. It's like they've been doing this for many year! Oh wait...they have! It's a great service...and a must do in Hong Kong.

The Star Ferry never disappoints! It is fantastic value for money and the views are amazing. Despite it being rather foggy, we were still able to enjoy this trip across Victoria Harbour. We used our Octopus Cards which meant no queuing for tickets. Very simple and quick. The seats can be reversed too, so if you like facing the direction... More

Just loved it. Travelling across the Victoria harbour from Hong Kong island to Kowloon or other way. A must do. Don't miss it. Better than even the peak tram. The rolling boat, the licking waves, the Hong Kong sky line, the cruise ships docked up on Kowloon side...... I wax eloquent. And it is dirt cheap. The seniors travel free.... More

Star ferries are brilliant ,takes about 5 minutes to cross the harbour,,I could ride on them all day.If you want to see the Symphony of Lights at its best then catch a ferry just before 8.00 pm or during the next 15 minutes and get a seat next to the water. They are very cheap in fact with a senior... More

I could travel on this ferry every day. You must do it if you're in HK. Really cheap, great to see the harbour and Hong Kong skyline from. Gets you away from the craziness of the crowds for a few minutes. Loved it!

We've travelled many times on the Star Ferry. So unbelievably cheap and the trip is fast and smooth. The boats are pointed at each end - no need for them to turn round - they just switch the seats to face the other way. So sensible.

The Star Ferry Pier was a cool experience as it felt like I was stepping back in time. The Ferry I was on was old and seemed to be preserved nicely. It is a wooden boat with the wooden bench type of seats. It was fun to go on a trip across the water. It was a great place to... More

There is something very nostalgic about star ferry pier - quite colonial - a trip to Hong Kong would not be complete without a trip across the bay
