Goes to many islands surrounding Hong Kong, and the ferries are often enough. Ferries are clean for the most part and don't take too long. It only took 5 minutes to get from Hong Kong Island to Kowloon.

They have this ferry ride which I found very unimpressive because it lasted all of 2-3 minutes. Apparently thats because of the reclamation on the island. Anyway, you can check it out if you've never been on a ferry ride before. But I am sure that there are nicer ferry rides available around HK.

I am surprised that the Star Ferry is only the No.10 attraction in HK - I reckon it's No. 1 ! A genuine antique, it is nevertheless a masterpiece of efficiency and, most importantly, enjoyment. Victoria harbour is one of the wonders of the world and it be able to experience it from the best vantage points for free !... More

This is a fast way to cross from Kowloon to Hong Kong Island. I suggest an Octopus card that makes getting around a LOT easier. We took the ferry across and walked to the escaltors that took us right to the shopping area in Central. Catch the Man Po temple for some local culture.

The pier itself is nothing special but you have a great view. And riding the ferry is ridiculous cheap! i think we payed about 4 HKdollars.
