The bus trip alone is wonderful (it's a bit long) but the view to Stanley is gorgeous and walking by the water at Stanley is also a nice experience. Try to sit at the water and drink a juice from the juice shop, while watching the sunset over the ocean.
The market is big, but not the best and negotiation...

Come for afternoon or evening stroll along the promenade followed by nice dinner. There are lots of nice cafes along the promenade but please be aware that they on the slightly high price. There is a playground, beach and museum to keep kids occupied. Also, lots of dogs owner will bring their dog for a walk in the afternoon. Kids...

stanley market was absolutely amazing, loved all the gifts and traditonal chinese artifacts they had, and also the bags clothes and shoes. You can barter at the markets which was the fun part

Far less crowded than the TST and Ladies Market. Besides the market experience DO drop by to the seaside and have a drink on an alfresco and enjoy the sunset!! Its a beautiful way to spend your evening while at Stanley!

One of the more relaxing places to be in HK when it is not crowded. The casual bars/eateries on the end of the promenade are great to grab a pint at after walking through the markets/shopping/ sightseeing.

Nice to have a drink by the seaside restaurants/pubs watching the sunset. Cozy and relaxed when there is no so crowded at that time of the day.

Nice spot by the ocean, slower paced than Central and TST. They are not willing to bargain much here though, so do not get your expectations up. Somewhat higher quality goods than the Temple Street market, but also a lot of junk here as well. Have lunch at one of the cafes along the shoreline.

We had fun at Stanley market buying linens, cute souvenirs and off season swimwear and children's clothes. If you take bus no. 6 there, you'll pass by Repulse Bay, which has a beautiful beach. You can make a quick stop to enjoy the scenery.
