This area has some high profile shops, such as Rolex. There are smaller outlets but I wasn't tempted in. The area was visited on my way to North Point. I would recommend stopping for a walk around the area just to see a different part of the city near Wan Cai. Handy for picking up the trams and busses to... More

Good place to take stroll in the evenings/ nights. Lanes filled with small lively joints. Pick any one to sit in and have a few drinks.

Hennessy Road runs east to west on the Island side of Hong Kong. Mostly from the Wan Chai area to Causeway Bay. The area is jammed packed with shops from giant Sogo Department Store to little mom and pop shops. There isn't an inch of land without a retail establishment on it. All the most sought after items, electronics, mobile... More

This is the place to visit for anything electronic. Computer, tablets, phones, televisions, software, hardware, computer accessories and repairs. We visited the Electronics Centre today and were not disappointed. We were looking for RAM for our Macbook Pro and found plenty of dealers who supply such items. Haggle to get the price you're want to pay. One store offered 2x4... More

If you want to see lots of Rolex,Porssche and Ferrari go to Hennessy Road. Surely the profit margins are huge in Hong Kong because they get the stuff next to nothing from China the on sell it to us the tourists at huge prices.

Hong Kong has too many cars and trucks and as the city swells with mainland and other land immigrants Henessy Road is becoming more and more clogged.

I usually avoid going to Causeway Bay, where Hennesy Road is, because it is too crowded. The air is poor & the Mainland Chinese tourist who frequent this area behave badly, so most locals try to avoid this area

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centers of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
