My husband used to work for the Hong Kong Police in the late 1970 s.. This place is dear to his heart as he used to work in this building and sleep there overnight. We loved walking around this historical building. It is so good to see that this old colonial building has been preserved. Hong Kong is not all... More

If you want to look at a historical place in Tsim Sha Tsui, 1881 Heritage is really a very educational place to visit. Can arrange for a free guided tour to understand the site better. Or can go to the exhibition hall to watch the video. This place is really worth for whole family to visit and enjoy.

All the big designers are here. But if you're thinking of shopping be prepared for a queue of rich (and rather rude) Chinese. Enjoy this for the history. This is the Former Marine Police Headquarters. Great architecture, fabulous site. Enjoy.

1881 Heritage is now a shopping mall but at one time was the Marine Police Headquarters. It's a series of lovely old buildings that now house a variety of upmarket shops & restaurants. There are a couple of very pretty displays which make for good photo opportunities...even saw 2 bridal parties here taking wedding photos last weekend! Having walked around,... More

During our recent trip to HK, the heritage 1881 was top of our to do list . We have been here before , the architecture of this fine old building is outstanding ! The lawns, flowers, and shrubs are at their best. The theme is changed every few months; This is a photo shoot at its BEST !!!

This is a very lovely spot in TST. It's convenient enough to get here and it's across the street from Star Ferry and the harbor. the architecture of it is beautifully designed, combining modern and old age. A beautiful big old tree grows on the upper level of the building and there are lots of lawn, plants, and flowers there... More

I guess this place used to house lots of really meaningful buildings and actually boasted a proud heritage -that is all but lost now. There's nothing much to see here, just a bunch of shopping places. There's no atmosphere here either, be it cultural or commercial. It just felt like a manicured shadow of its probably glorious past. Still, some... More

We enjoy the traditional English High Tea in a nice environment when we're off travelling. With some keen expectations we visited the Peninsula Hotel lobby for their afternoon High Tea. We didn't stay long after looking around and chatting to two staff. The lobby has no ambience at all, it was noisy, a little untidy, and the queue was out... More

It was sad to see my memories of this place changed to a shopping arcade. It’s another great example of government and big business mishandling conservation and heritage. They just didn’t care; it was just for big money. As one of the oldest surviving government buildings in Hong Kong it's a shame the government mishandled its redevelopment. The former marine... More
