If you're looking for a change of scenery that's a contrast to the congested and busy architecture of Hong Kong's streets, 1881 Heritage is the place to visit. Even though the place is surrounded by upscale shops, it is free and open to all visitors at all hours. I paid a visit to the place around midnight when the place... More

a lot of architects, when they try to blend in a new structure with the old, make a real hash of things....this isnt one of them. in fact this is pretty seemless to some extent which is why its worth a value - they got it pretty right. the original building on top of the hill remains as is and... I haven visited this area several times, during my Hong Kong trips, this area is unique in Hong Kong. Other reports identify it as being a high end shopping area, I would describe it as a celebration of what I see as Hong Kong. Affluence; very surreal; expensive; but also quite engaging. It has a must see feel about it,... More

We had a lovely high tea! It was a great location, ask to sit outside on the verandah as this is much better than inside. The high tea was excellent with a good mix of sweet and savoury. Sweets were beautiful, delicate and delicious! Would highly recommend

A beautiful historic place for great photos, wedding photos and more. Beautiful decorations in the area and the most amazing tree grown in a tower around it. The stonework all around is highly admirable. The fountains are rather romantic. Enjoy the location and easy to get there too.

It would be considered a high-end shopping area, yet the decoration / mini-performances are what make this complex stand-out. We were there for new year & it had amazing themed decor and a ballet performance taking place, while they have various other things throughout the year.

We had a walk around the surrounding but didn't have time to visit any stores. There were a big crowd and people! A group of people were taking photos with female models which dressed up in Japanese female cartoon characters. Time to strike a pose! The Christmas lights around the square looked amazing at night!

A small, charming heritage, attraction complex worthy of a relaxing visit! It's FREE! It's conveniently located right across the HK Cultural Center by the Avenue of Stars/Waterfront Promenade, the Harbor City, Bus Terminal, MTR Station... It has a very nice courtyard with a fountain, grand staircases, historical (and educational) Time-Ball Tower, Terrace Tree Garden, several restaurants/cafés, high-end shops, and a... More

a place full of festive ambiance like starting from Dec, it's been decorated with Xmas trees, fairies, etc, i always visit there on Chinese New Year, Happy Valentine's Day, Christmas as the property decorates the space with proper pops that attracts me for photo-taking at least 1 hour each time.

Given another opportunity to visit HK again, I came back to 1881 Heritage to check out what theme they might have picked for Autumn. And I wasn't disappointed. It's basically just a place with lots of shops and a very good place to take great pictures, I'd say. If you aren't fond of just enjoying that, then don't bother coming... More
