Today (Mar 30, 2014) I visited the pier and Hong Kong Tourism Board Visitor Center to find out that starting from early March 2014, Duk Ling was closed down. My next question is for how long ... he said may be permanently. There's an alternative called Aqualuna, looks quite similar but since it's not that original as Duk Ling, so... More

We always love a boat trip as its a relaxing way to see the sights where the scenery moves for you! This one seemed a must do as it is on one of the few remaining traditional junks and it was a lovely experience and at 100HKD, a very reasonable one too. The boat itself didn't quite live up to... We booked the trip on the Duk Ling (or the "Clever Duck") at the HK Tourist Office located in the Star Ferry Building on the Tsim Sha Tsui side of the harbour. To book the trip on this restored local fishing vessel ... a "junk", you will need some identification (eg. passport) because of the insurance. The Duk Ling only... More

A very nice ride, this takes you back in time where Honk Kong used to trade and transport by boat. A very relaxing boat ride where you can see the sky scrappers and the city.

Nice way to get out on the harbour and see the city from a different prospective. We went out in the afternoon and did not book, in fact we were the only ones on the boat. It could get a little bit rough at times but still very enjoyable. Just sit back on one of the soft chairs up top... More

We didn't book. .. just arrived and hopped on. Fantastic! Amazing view of the light and sound show. Reasonably priced considering a couple free drinks included. Would do this again. Can see it being a nightmare in bad weather.

We booked this tour the day before the event, but did not check the weather in advance. As it turned out, on the day of the tour, there was pouring rain and the sky was dark at 2:00 p.m, threatening a thunderstorm. (Our tour was scheduled for 4:00 p.m.) The harbor was very rough. I tried to call the booking... More

Really very nice and characteristic see these splendid boats cross the waterway that separates Hong Kong to Kowloon. I have seen them in so many movies and documentary and I really think it become an icon of the city. It is very romantic to see them during the evening sailing across the river when with its own lights colour the... More

We did an afternoon trip on the Duk Ling which lasted just over an hour picking us up at Central ferries and dropping on the Kowloon side. Was a bit dissapointed that there was no commentary or information available on board for what we were seeing but the views were very nice and we enjoyed it anyway.

Absolutely love it. Worth the hour and money spent. Great way to enjoy the night after a hectic day of sight seeing. Just sit back, unwind and take in the sights. The city from the Duk-ling was truly magical.Try catching the night ride. HK is magical at night especially by the harbour with all the building lit up.
