Reviews here certainly built this place up to be a laugh riot and we were severely disappointed. If you've spent time outside North America or Europe before you'll find nothing all that shocking or hilarious about this place. Worth a visit if you have some free time and enjoy people-watching, but otherwise not all that exciting. Was fun only in... More

This place is unusual for a Chinese funfair. It is built as a homage to everything foreign, but only the Chinese's perception of foreign. As is usual ongoing maintenance is never high on anyone's list of priorities in China so you will find it fairly run down, but that aside it really is quite a fun place. The big rides... More

wow, i can't believe foreigner street isn't bold-faced in guidebooks or ranked higher here on tripadvisor. if you're into off-beat places, appreciate odd humor, and want to have an awesome time for virtually pennies, come to foreigner street. to a westerner, it's so horribly tacky and so poorly conceived/constructed that it's ABSOLUTE GENIUS. while there is most definitely an undertone... This place is weird. There is no other way to explain Foreign Street. It is a Chinese interpretation of different foreign cultures. None of it makes sense to a Westerner but that is what makes this place so fascinating. Everything is just off and that is the beauty of Foreign Street. Appreciate the absurdity and you will your visit. The... More

Never go there! Unless you want nausia and a massive head ache. This is one of the most poorly conceived theme parks of all time, and it has nothing to do with Foreigners by the way... The place is loud, dirty, crowded, and tasteless. Skip this.

I have to second Jason's recommendation. Foreigner's street is a great break from scenic spots and historic places in China. It is an absolute glorious mess. Although originally designed to attract foreigner vendors through rent discounts and such, there are no foreigners left on Foreigner's street. Well there was one Ethiopian lady selling coffee in Africa world but that was... More

It is kind of like somebody saw "Windows to the World" in Shenzhen (a theme park recreating famous landmarks) and wanted to build their own in Chongqing... except they only had about $100 to do it. I'm still not sure if it was intentionally built really badly as some sort of dark humor, or they wanted it to be good... More
