Travelling there takes about 2hr by bus. I prefered the views and experience here compared to Mutienyu as it was very quiet with very few tourist, and gave the feeling of being in the wilderness. Not for those with bad knees though. By far the best tourist destination during my Beijing trip. More

Well, we decided to go with them after reading the glowing reviews here. If our experience is any guide, I'd say it's more of a hit or miss, as your exprerience is as good as the group you happen to be with, In our case, a boisterious group of (French speaking) students was hardly the best travel companion. First off,... More

Superb guide - very friendly and informative; fantastic scenery; a lovely small group and a very quiet spot with few other tourists. More

The drive out there was nearly 2 hours, so it really takes a whole day to do it justice. The scenery is breathtaking, and the wall is ... well, it's hard to put in words. What's great about this part, is that you see both restored and unrestored sections! Absolutely gorgeous! More

Me and my boyfriend done a trip through a travel agent to the Great Wall. We headed off at about 7am and it takes about 2 - 2 and a half hours to get to this part of the wall. We had a guide with us, and she set the pace which was a bit too fast for us. But... More

A must for travelers, the Great Wall is one of the most beautiful monuments in the world. Even though Badaling was the most crowded part, we passed a beautiful day passing 250mt of wall looking to a fantastic view of the landscape. I suggest to go there by one of the buses for tourists, as they're not expensive, although you'll... More

However wonderful you expect the Great Wall of China to be, nothing prepares you for it's majesty and the stunning scenery when you first step foot on this Wonder of the World. I would highly recommend this section of the wall because, despite our visit being during the May Day holiday period on a glorious day, there were only a... More

We did a group bus tour which allowed us about four hours to walk along the Wall from Jingshanling towards Simitai and then double back. The guide stays in the main carparking restaurant area, which I like cause you are free to explore at your own pace. And four hours is plenty - it is very very steep in places... More

One of the highlights of my trip is going to the Great Wall...and in this side of the wall it is less touristy and more of the beautiful landscape. Although it is far from the city, the trip to Jinshanling offered a unique and unexpected experience. Just be mindful of local peddlers who will assist you in climbing the stairs... More
