Visited at the end of the low season for the princely sum of 10RMB - it goes up to 15RMB Apr-Oct and paid the extra 5RMB to see the pandas (penguins were 10RMB - perhaps they do a show?). Going to see the pandas is a must when visiting China. If you aren't lucky enough to see them in the wild then the zoo is a very poor second. If you just go here to see the pandas, you will come away thinking that it isn't so bad after all. In March 2007 I dragged my Mum to the Beijing Zoo because I wanted to see Pandas (I had never seen them before). I was so delighted by the Panda enclosure. The pandas looked happy, healthy and bright. They were playing and eating while we were there and it was a fantastic experience.
