We were first time in China and Beijing. The great wall is a must-see so we went there. We were really lucky to receive from friends the e-mail of a great driver that took us from the hotel to the wall ( Simon, simonxqz1973@hotmail.com, www.simon-service.com). The guy turned up to be much more than a driver. He was very helpful... More

It took an 1 hour to get to this part of the wall from the centre of Beijing and it was well worth it. This part of the wall is not as crowded as other parts of the wall, there is a cable car now that will take you up and back down if you wish however we took the... More

Great, it's real great! How they bring all those stones to this mountain? and long... all long the mountain. I want visit again if I have chance since when we visited that was raining and fog all around. Make sure when you come not on the rain season. Wear proper shoes.

In China and its border countries, there are a few amazing sights on every traveller’s bucket list, regardless of budget: The Taj Mahal in India, Kathmandu Valley in Nepal, Bagan Archaeological Zone in Myanmar, and perhaps Halong Bay in Vietnam. In China itself, you have the karst scenery of Yunnan, the stunning national parks of Sichuan (and pandas!), the Potala... More

Amazing. There is a little town near the wall, you can but souveniers from there. Let a cable car take you up to the wall. If you want exercise, take right when you are facing the wall. Steps are rough and steep! Easy and fun way down is taking a metal slide down in the village. It may look dangerous,... More

How did they built this amazing wall way up on the mountain so long ago??? I was just impressed with the grandeur of it all. Cable car ride up the mountain made it enjoyable too. Just beautiful views

A TRUE Wonder of our World, the Great Wall is both breathtaking! Mutianyu is a bit further out than that more popular Badaling section which I have also visited. Badaling is very crowded and difficult to capture photos without other in it but much closer to Beijing (about 20 minutes) while Mutianyu is much less crowded but about 45 minutes... More

This area of the wall is from the past, for the future! There town is small and not over crowded with tourist but still gives you the experience. The Wall itself is great. There are restored areas as well as the Wall as it would naturally look. The best part is you can take a small chair lift ride up,... More

He drove seven of us to The Great Wall. He picked us up from our hotel, sorted out our tickets on arrival and off we went. It was a magical feeling actually climbing The Great Wall and looking at the amazing scenery. I only managed to walk to two towers. The rest of the group walked much further to where... More

Enjoyed the day but avoid weekend and get there early. Great views, history and fun using chair lift and tobogan to descend. Crowded though but guess thats inevitable much of the time.
