Beautiful, together with a plethora of restaurants, street food and bars in the area. Nice to have a drink, but do avoid the long islands - it seems to be something that pubs and bars in Beijing never get right.

If you want to walk and drink something is good, but if you're planing to eat and spend all the night is an expensive place to do it, we had some dinner and drinks and we pay more than any other place!

I have been walking around the lake since 2000, even if now the buildings have become hip restaurants and shops, it is always worth a visit, in winter to watch the "chair-skating" on the frozen lake, or in summer to watch the lotus on the lake. Very romantic boat trips are possible at candle light.

For me this place is where you want to go to drink some beer, with friends, there are a lot of Bars, with live music very nice for one evening.

We only stayed in Beijing two nights, and one of the nights we toured the Hou Hai area. As a lover of live music, we had an incredible time. It was fun to hop from bar to bar seeing the different bands play. Very crowded

This is a great place to take a family or a date, night or day. At night, it is all lit up and romantic, and during the day there is a little something for everyone to do....from live music to boat rides, and plenty of snack and drink vendors to satisfy everyone.

Great place to take a date, enjoy a find meal along the lake, then listen to some live music and go hold hands outside by the water. No better place to experience your first kiss in China.

This trio of lakes is a great way to spend an afternoon or evening! There are no train stops next to it but the walk from a few stops close by is nice through the Hutongs. Plenty of bars, restaurants and shopping around the lakes to enjoy, especially at night. Well worth a visit!

We went here on a Saturday evening, so that was probably not the best idea. I am not sure how many people go on other days, but Saturday was packed to the edges with people, cars, and rickshaws. It is a fun experience, but don't plan on a quiet walk around the lake. This spot is ideal for those looking... More

We went to see what it was all about - the trip there was an experience as you pass areas you wouldn't normally see - past the beautiful lakes and into a world of shops, stalls, bars and clubs. It was loud and had an amazing energetic vibe. We were there for just over a couple of hours and went... More
