Lonely Planet Beijing has a good walk round the hutongs centred on Nanluogo Xiang, but unaccountably misses out this restored courtyard house. It was given to Qi Baishi in 1955, not long before he died, but the Cultural Revolution and other political shenanigans meant it all falling into disrepair again. Be careful with taxi driver at the airport in china. I got into the taxi at the airport and he told to charge 450 RMB. I realized that he is cheating and got out and after few efforts , I paid only 70 RMB to go to hotel (Novotel Beijing Peace in downtown) from aiport.
