This is a zoo for aquatic animals with a marine tunnel to walk thru. Beautifully done & great for kids & toddlers to get good views into the tanks full of coral reefs, beautiful & interesting fish, eels, stingrays and sharks.

Not a great aquarium. Most of the sea creatures kept in small tanks especially the giant turtles. The under water tunnel is pretty cool.

Dear people, I can see there is some confusing between the 2 zoo's in Beijing! The one for which this topic is meant is The Blue Zoo at the south end of Workers Stadium, which is in the center of Beijing near Sanlitun and is quite small. The other one some people refer to in this topic is the Beijing... More

It's a great aquarium overall, but the place is a bit old now and the ticket price I found a bit too much (RMB 120 per adult, RMB 90 per child taller than 1m). We spent almost 2 hours there, the fish varieties are excellent, we especially love the tunnel to see the big tank. It's definitely a great place... More

I found this to be a good aquarium. One of the better ones that I have visited around the world. The only thing disappointing was they said that a show was going to be put on in the tank and all it was, was a few mermaids flowing around. This aquarium is worth a visit if in beijing.

During the winter, all of the shows they have advertised (and even provide times and listings for at the ticket booth) are closed. However, no discount on price. They misrepresent themselves by providing the times and descriptions of the shows when you buy the ticket, despite not having them for half the year. Poor business practice. I will not return.... We arrived shortly after the "zoo" opened so the lines were manageable. After forking over a small fortune for myself and my two children, we entered the small aquarium, excited to see the animals and the "shows". Despite the large number of "professional" photographers hounding us for pictures, we were having a nice time at the Blue Zoo Beijing until... More

This place is extremely small and it takes about an hour to see everything. There is already a better aquarium inside the Beijing zoo which is much better than this. This really isn't worth seeing but if you have kids who love to see animals then this should probably be on your list while you are going to San LI... More

We reached the place around 11 and there were so many people already in line. We went ahead and waited in line and a middle aged lady casually came to stand in front of us which irritated me (Now we know that happens very often in China so I am cool). My husband was ready to leave as the line... More

Visited during the working weekend before the Labour Holiday and it was crowded with local school kids. It is great for young kids but having seen other places this place is over priced (RMB110 adults and kids above 1m RMB 80) for what it offers. The sharks and sea turtles inside had very limited space to swim and I actually... More

I had some free time here while my travel companions had work obligations. I walked here from my hotel and it was fairly easy to find. The tickets were kind of pricey (110 yuan), but the amount of pictures I took and the variety of fish and sharks was worth it. They have some nice smaller displays with just a... More
