If you are into opera and stuff then you should probably come here and relax. There are only show times at specific times. I believe it was 45-60 rmb to get in extra? I forgot. The first part of this area, the living place of the mansion itself, is the standard-china-temple-style...its ok, but not really interesting anymore if u already saw more than two temples in China. But whats really nice about this place is its garden, the little lake, rivers and mountains can make u feel little away from all the crowds at this... More

We left the wonderful Summer Palace so that we could visit Prince Kung's mansion and I am sorry we did. It was so overwhelming busy with tour groups- all with loud hailers.
