The Place has a nice food court in the basement, and of course the massive LCD television in the square. The television wasn't on when I was there, though -- you might have to wait until after sunset. Aside from those two things, I'm not sure why anyone would come here. The shopping was the same as you'd find in... More

The nicest part is the square like space with a big screen on a ceiling of a roof cover. There tend to be many people around holidays because it is nicely decorated then.

Had a meal out at the Japanese restaurant, lots of great little dishes to grill at the table - pushed myself out of my comfort zone with some of the food options. Calm and relaxing atmosphere with very helpful and friendly staff made for a great night out.

I lived within a block of the place for a couple of months, and while it was a nice place to find western food, a bit of shopping, and most importantly, coffee, I don't think this is much of a tourist site.

the good: it's central square is covered by the biggest LCD screen in the world, every evening you can watch spectacular performances on it (for free); it houses main international shops; the are the usual coffee shops (Costa, Starsucks, Paris Baguette...); restaurants underneath; it's close to Central Park (east of it), close to Parkgreen View Mall (north of it), various... Interesting place to stroll with the family. Super modern, very busy and shopping options and cafes. Only point that should be aware of is that after the 22h is very difficult to get taxi/cab in the neighborhood, stay tuned.

It's also surrounded by lots of eateries & cafes - Paris Baguette being my favourite among the lot. Shopping centres lined on both sides wz many... More

If you're in the area its worth going to see this 250m screen. Its pretty captivating even though you have to stand there looking up. There are teh normal western brands of shops and cafes if that's your thing. Best come at night to get the full effect.
