The wall is amazing and there are so many different parts to it and it looks different in all the seasons. Great time, great photos, worth that once in a lifetime trip.

We were there on 2/4/13.Weather was kind to us cool and sunny in parts. Our group and guide of 14 were on our own for half an hour before another group arrived. We climbed at least 1000 steps and about 600ft up and up.Great view from that height. If you dont like heights only go to the first level.Would recommend this area to... In Septemer,12 my husband and I had the most marvelous tour to China. From the onset when we were booking the trip through the office in USA, the service was superb. We stayed at 5 star hotels such as Marriots or Sheridens which had very comfortable beds and well-appointed rooms much better than we have experienced elsewhere. The breakfasts, well... More

This is truly a marvel. You can walk for miles as i did and it finally hits you as to how massive this undertaking was. It isn't just a wall, there is art involved in some of the stone carvings. The engineering and the ability to move and stack those large stone back in the day is hard to believe.... More

Make sure you arrange to go on a clear day if possible. Get a taxi for the day with private tour guide, its more practical and works out to the same cost as a tour bus, without the inconvenience of having to wait for other tourists to board and toilet stops etc. Unfortunately, we went on a cloudy day, couldn't... Awesome and breathless (literally). Impossible to cover the distance of the whole Wall as it was massive. I was very tired after climbing 250m and have to give as the winds were very strong that day. Overall, I am very proud to have been to the Great Wall of China.

It was the best adventure I had and saw but I could not finish as the steps were making havock on my knees. My husband made it to the top and the view is impeccable he said. You can see for miles. The stairs are very worn and uneven so it made it difficult for me to continue.

This was the main reason for our trip...to walk on the Great Wall of China. There are many sections but any section is memorable. Be prepared to walk alot and climb steps. I thought the walk would be easy but it was really challenging to get to the stations up on the moutaintops. Only 3 out of our group of... More

4 of us had a wonderful experience in this trip. We are Asians, mostly grew up in America and had very little knowledge of china. This trip exceeded our expectations in everything except food. If one expected same or better cuisine in china than what you can get in San Francisco chinatown food, it will be great disappointment. We learned... More
