Owner description: Beijing Sideways provides you with a sideways look of China, Beijing and its surrounding.Aboard our vintage sidecar motorbike, we show the Beijing we love, without the crowds. This form of transportation allows us to be very flexible with our exploration, stopping easily whenever necessary, a very close proximity with the city and countryside where you can «almost touch» anything you see, but above all it’s a sightseeing wonder! Did we mention it’s extremely fun?

The E-Kick Scooter Tour was an incredibly fun way to see Old Beijing. The versatility of the scooters allowed us to zig-zag through dozens of small hutongs that wouldn't have been accessible in other vehicles. The scooters were so easy to operate, I could pay attention to everything around me without being distracted by 'driving.' Gael knows the city inside... More

Having visited Shanghai and taken a similar tour I decided in the short time available to us this would be the only way to see Beijing. Booking was easy enough and I paid a 30% deposit via PayPal , the balance due at the end of the tour. We were meet by Gael the owner of the company ( a... More

I had the pleasure of spending a day in the countryside outside of Beijing in the side car of a vintage 1935 reproduction motorcycle piloted by Gael. He customized what I wanted to see and we had a awesome lunch of food picked up at a local store and prepared be Gael. The day included the Hutongs, the Pagodas and... More

My boyfriend and I chose the "2 Day Grand Slam Tour" after a significant amount of "YOLO" talk. We spent 10 days in China (Beijing, Chengdu and Shanghai) and wanted to be sure we were getting the most out of our short stays in each town. I'll start with the *great* (because, for the majority of this review its a... More

Yesterday we had the opportunity to spend a lovely fall day touring Beijing with Sideways. We had a group of five including a 4 and 6 year old, a 30 something, and two 60+. Everyone loved it! I live in Beijing and this was by far the best local tour we have done. The sidecar motorcycles are very well suited for... More

You think motorcycle, you think dangerous, beards, gritty... This was far from that! This is truly an activity that everyone of all ages should try. We saw more of Beijing and the surroundings on this trip to the Great Wall than we would have ever gotten traveling by subway, foot, bus, or some other tour guide. The drivers were class... More

We flew over to China from Washington DC to have some fun and decided to do a motorcycle tour. I had my doubts at first about the tour, but I was wrong. Best tour ever!!!!! Amazing, professional driver named Gyle and a driver native to Beijing that took us safely to a remote part of the old wall (we saw... More

What a great way to get under the skin of Beijing, avoiding the obvious tourist traps and staying off the beaten track. Cesar and his drivers showed us the city's modern art and architecture and the historic Hutongs, where we grabbed lunch with the locals. If you tell Beijing Sideways what you are interested in they can tailor the tour... More

We were picked up by Johanna our guide and her two Chinese sidecar drivers in a super hot Beijing day. From the time we first jumped into the sidecars at 9.30am until we we arrived back at our hotel around 5pm we had so much fun! difficult to explain but the sidecar experience, great views and then walking the Great...
