This is a huge help to the people of China but also flooded townships and antiquities, so not every one was impressed. It is the largest hydro electric project in the world, so you can't help but be impressed.

The Yangtze gold N07 is a relatively new vessel, but already showing sign of wear. Cabins are comfortable, if one can look past the stained carpets and curtains. If the upgrade to the VIP dining room is offered, take it, it is well worth it. The standard of the food is the same as the common dining room ( unless... More

We were looking forward to this part of our trip and we were not disappointed. However, it was a difficult start. In May, when we took the cruise, the water level above the dam is at its lowest in anticipation of the rainy season floods (which the dam has been designed to control amongst its other functions). This means that... More

If anyone has actually read any of my other reviews it will come as a surprise that I was even on a 4 day / 3 night cruise along the Yangtze River. The scenery of the 3 Gorges was pretty special even though due to "mist" visibility was less than 400m for the entire cruise (All on the ship were... More

Any visit to China should definitely include a cruise on the amazing Yangtze River - this 3 day cruise turned out to be one of the main highlights of my trip. The three gorges area is absolutely beautiful - and all 3 gorges are different. The 3 gorges dam is very impressive - a typical example of Chinese skill and... More

Great experience for a 3-day river cruise. The scenery was amazing, the construction of the dam had drastically changed the view, but it was still beautiful with villages along the river unchanged.

A trip down the Yangtze through the Gorges is just what a tour of China needs. Relax as the ship cruises along, soak up the scenery when traversing Qutang or Wu Gorge and make sure you go down the Goddess Stream, opposite the Goddess Peak. Would live to have climbed up the peak but you need 5 hours (3 up... More

On Sinorama tour and on the century river cruise. The scenery was so beautiful. Our boat had balconies so my husband and I loved sitting out and watching the hills go by and seeing so many river boats and people and animals.

The Yangtze Three Gorges, one of the ten most famous tour sites of China, proudly stands at the top of the best 40 in China’s hottest scenic spots. Meanwhile, it also enjoys the reputation for one of the best 35 China’s king scenic spots and 16 special touringroutes. Your steps into Yichang will take you to the greatest paintings of the elegant Three Gorges gallery. Though the Three Gorges Project reservoir began reserve water, the three gorges stand still with their elegance and verve. The Xiling Gorge is still deep and serene; the Wu Gorge is still beautiful; while the Qutang Gorge is still steep and magnificent. At the same time, the new Three Gorges bring you infinite new views. New sceneries created by the reservoir will add extra mysteries to you and make your trip rich and colorful. It is a very nice place.

The tour itin, optional tours and on board amenities/activities were well managed. Do take the optional tours as they are the highlights of the cruise as the scenic beauty of these side trips is even more stunning in comparison with the already spectacular scenery enroute. As a FIT (Free and Independent Traveller), I made the cruise booking through the Manager... More
