Ol Kinyei Conservancy is 18,700 acres of wilderness which belongs to a Maasai community who leased it to Gamewatchers Safaris and Porini Camps for it to be set aside for the purposes of wildlife conservation. Ol Kinyei Conservancy is home to only one permanent camp, the Porini Mara Camp which accommodates a maximum of only 12 guests at any given time - making this not only an exclusive experience but one that respects the principles of eco-tourism. Located within the Serengeti-Mara eco-system, Ol Kinyei is renowned for its unspoilt and breathtaking scenery with diverse terrain offering on one hand open savannah plains and rolling hills on the other.

We stayed at Ol Kinyei Mara Porini camp and drove all round the conservation area which we thought was very well maintained, and what struck us most was the enthusiasm and commitment of the people involved in this important project. The plains were simply teeming with plains game, where the habitat has been preserved, and there was much evidence of... More

This was an amazing safari. We went to Porini Rhino as well and these two both were tremendous. Lots of wildlife, incredible guides - Joel and Geoffrey - and wonderful facilities. When we return to Kenya, it will be to the Porini camps. We got to see lots of lions, the Wildebeest migration, one day with 100 hippos, another with... More

I visited in mid-June following the 'long rains' and everywhere was lush green. The wildebeest had arrived in large numbers and the usual animal population was also present. The guides took me to a part of the conservancy (Ol Kinyei 2) I had not been to previously and it was evident by the lack of vehicle tracks that I could... More

An exclusive conservancy used only by Gamewatchers (www.porini.com) Teeming with game - See TA reviews for Porini Mara Camp, They also have a cheaper Adventure Camping option Some of the key benefits are: 1. excellent wildlife viewing with the ability to get close to the game - real off roading in 4x4's and not mini busses and amazing wildlife. 2.... Tons of game and no other vehicles, this how all safaris should be done. Unspoilt wilderness and a real feeling of not being part of a crowd. Paradise.

This is a relatively small conservancy but has four of the Big Five. Most importantly you have a very good chance get to see of of them without having to jostle for space with many other mini buses.
